At most the construction set won't arrive until next january much like skyrim's and even then that doesn't mean modding is impossible. Moonpath to Elswyr for skyrim was released before the CE was released for skyrim.

I will likely follow the MQ for a while, so that probably means going to Sanctuary Hills, speaking with Codsworth, and then finding the dog. I hope we can name the dog.

Ignore all quests and just wander around and explore until I can't get any further in the game. Then start doing quests.

I bet "Go back to your house" will be the first goal in the main quest. I'll probably do that, because no matter who my character is, that's probably what they'd do.

Because choosing between Codsworth and Dogmeat is so hard I will do the following:

Expose the dog to the FEV virus and insert Codsworth's "brain" into the dog. Some people will use dogmeat. Some people will use Codsworth. I will have a mutant cyberdog named Codsmeat... or Dogsworth. The strength of both, the weaknesses of neither. It will be the terror of the wastes... barking bad jokes at my enemies and piss on trees from 300 yards range with his laserbeams, It will be glorious.

On a more serious note - start straight for building a proper base
