So, what's the first thing you'll do in-game?

What if it's a dragon?

Then the dragon will do the embracing... with its teeth.

I remember when the first couple people received Oblivion a day or so early. The first video I saw had a guy running out of the sewers and killing the nearest wolf and watching it roll down a hill (physics were a new thing for RPGs). I was both amazed and amused in such a good way. I can only hope for the same sort of entertainment and wow factor!

I'm definitely going to explore first. I'm just going to walk around and look at the graphics and physics of the environment, and if I get attacked along the way, so be it.

If fast travel is an option I will intentionally get myself lost.

Dude... it's been like, everywhere. We've all been celebrated tree hugging's TES debut since the VGAs reveal. Where have you been?...

Probably wander about aimlessly in a drunken euphoria about finally being back in Tamriel in the next big game.

With how good the graphics look, wandering about and gazing at the place will be all I will be able to do for a bit. Maybe silly things like dropping a dagger and watching how the Havok rolls it down a hill.

Only thing I can say for sure is the first thing I do in Skyrim will be immediately after the last Meaningful thing I do in the real world for Months.

My thoughts exactly. I played enough Elder Scrolls games to know not to get involved in the MQ too early. I usually join some guilds and complete some of their quests first. Which reminds me, what guilds are going to be in this game???

Do some minor quests first before engaging the MQ, like I did with Morrowind and Oblivion.

Depends... if there's a huge sense of urgency in the main quest, I'll be doing that first.

I'll probably decide on the spot. I got around starting the main quest after a solid 60 hours at least in Morrowind, and finished it, werrrrlll. But I did it immediately in Oblivion.

I suspect I'll have too many things to distract me.

I'm running straight for High Hrothgar. I want to see if I can make it there and climb the 7,000 steps at level 1-5. :P

When I 1st begin I will likely begin exploring the closest city and after a few hours and a few minor Quests, walk my way to the next major city and do the same.
After I have seen all the major cities I will do the 1st few quests in the main Quest and then goin a guild and work a bit for it

Find a nice quite place to rest up and heal my wounds from my Level 1, no weapons or armour daring prison escape that darn near cost me my life.
Maybe I should have stayed in jail. Less painful.

Let's hope not, for Azura's sake.

Same thing I did in Oblivion, same thing I did in Morrowind.

After getting out of prison I'll find the Fighter's Guild, or the equivalent, and rise myself to a high guild rank. Not master but something high. Then I go finish the main quest.

Which reminds me, I was thinking of something today : they said we'll get caught in webs and have impeded movements. Is it any likely we'll have some realistic PC loss-of-footing or tripping ?

I'm really not up to speed on what's possible or not.

I shall find the nearest flower, stop to smell it, then decapitate it without remorse. Fun with alchemy!
