Same thing I did in Morrowind and Oblivion:

Start, tutorial stage, then head North as far as possible or until death.

Morrowind I didn't get that far, Oblivion I made it all the way to the top of the map (took a while though).

Probably explore on my way to Winterhold to join the College of Winterhold (for mages). I can discover places along the way, meet people and pick alchemical ingredients.

I'm not sure really. Just thinking about it gives me that over whelming feeling like every Bethesda game does the first time I play it.
