What is the first thing you will do when you've made your ch

Post » Tue Feb 01, 2011 6:17 pm

For my character, I like to focus on my defense, whilst still offering a neat offensive. So I go for light/medium armour with 2-h sword. I'm more of a warrior type, but I know a few... spells up my sleeve!

The first thing I will do is explore until I hit the nearest town then begin some side-quests, whilst training my skills up in some nearby dungeons.

I really couldn't say. Magic looks amazing this time around, so I might get svckered into using one hand for that, while the other one holds a long sword. Heavy armor most likely...but I really won't know till I have been playing for the first few minutes.

Walk across Skyrim, from Solitude to Riften or vice versa.

After I'm done weeping in ecstasy? Depends on which character I roleplay first. Probably explore, play with spells or weapons or alchemy, or some the jobs. Pester the townsfolk for rumors, eavesdrop on their conversations, wander the towns, the usual.

I'm a svcker for the MQ on a first play through - although that's combined with plenty of exploring (especially finding the different settlements/cities/towns). And removal of the class system should mean I don't give up on my first character after a while too :celebration:

I tend to use a rather odd Breton Spell Archer build of sorts. Really looking forward to experimenting with magic in this game. Especially to see if magic effects can be combined with weapons somehow (especially for bows and arrows). So as such, I'll raid the very first dungeon that I see, so that I can get a better idea of how the combat and magic system works this time around.

I have a feeling that this game is going to turn everything I knew about TES combat right on its head...

Talk to people. Walk around the nearest town and do quests. I'll probably join a guild or two.

Hmmm there was one of these earlier today / yesterday... never mind.

Try out the basics, try out how they've changed.
Get killed, swear alot, see what cool stuff a character can do, talk to as many NPC's as possible.

After I escape my imprisonment? Probably steal a horse (provided they are rideable) and make my way to the first Immediate objective (Deliver the Amulet to Jauffre, meet Caius Cosades ect) then see about getting my character better equiped and acquainted with the world and take it from there.

I will likely start the game over with a new player after ten minutes because I'm starting to think I could make him look much better

unless 'showracemenu' is still a console command so that I wouldn't have to start over.

Once I am satisfied with how sixy my dovahkiin is I will explore mostly- talk to people in town, get to know them, and it won't be long before I cannot resist killing an innocent because I want to see what the new Dark Brotherhood is like.
Though I think we got a quick glimpse of the Skyrim Shrouded Armor in the trailer.

Thirty minutes into the game I'll probably be on edge and swearing like a sailor because those darned dragons are so freaking tough and are kicking my ass XD And my hubby will tell me I'm being too loud.

Check out the basics like fighting and magic depending on the class than after I get a feel for it do a quest or a few than go and look for werewolves IF they are in and if not than go look for Vampires IF they are in and try to become one....After I spend hours on the 360 trying to make my character look PERFECT, than after that go back and spend more hours after restarting it because I picked the wrong hair style

1) Upgrade pc (in process)
2) Buy game
3) Install on 11.11.11
4) Open menu, watch cinematics etc, Skygasm, mindsplode
5) Create character (big nord, but lithe and graceful at the same time)
6) Dungeon tutorial etc, walk to first town, side quests mostly.
7) EITHER:

I like to find a part in the main quest early on where I can create a reason for NOT pursuing the main quest further, ie in Morrowind, after Casius Cossades gives you 200septims and tells you to bugger off andd train some skills, join a guild etc, I'll do that, and not come back till ive done all the faction quests I want. Reason is, I got 'caught up' living in Vvardenfall, and finally returned to visit Caius after some time, to fulfill my destiny etc, etc, etc.

OR

Finding out your true lineage (ie, MW = Nerervarine, Skyrim, you're freaking DRAGONBORN!) is a massive shock, go into denial etc, and run away to quest in the wild, after many years you retrace where you left off, accepting your destiny and facing it.

AND

Jump off a mountain.

After I finish the tutorial I will be exploring and dungeon crawling until I get some good equipment, then do some of the main quest and some guild quests.

Explore my surroundings, go to a town and work on some side quests, then start the main quest and inbetween ill explore more, do more side quests, and again continue some of the main quest.

If there is others things to do than Explore, Quest, I'll be glad to do them... Like take up a job, join a guild/faction, mess around with towns economy. If I can alter the way a town looks by increasing it's income I'd be very happy...

I'm pretty much going to do everything the game lets you do, and never just do 1 thing... TES Main Quests are nice, but they've never been the reason for me to continue playing.

Since the combat has changed i will mess around with that a bit then train for hours with my sword and board. No magic, no arrows, just sword and board. My build will consist of 1 handed blade, shield, smithing, either Med or Heavy armor and athletics, since the devs mentioned being able to maintain your balance will be a huge part of melee combat. SWORD AND BOARD SPARTACUS STYLE!
