After the tutorial segment:

- Locate nearest housing (storage)
- Play with the long ranged weapons and sneak so I can figure out how to deal with Auto-Aim until a tweak comes out
- Find a Sniper Rifle

Turn on God Mode
Toggle all map markers
Add one million caps and one thousand lockpicks
Shoot a random wastelander in the face
Mix it up with some Death Claw.

Then once I am fully comfortable with unmodded gameplay for the first time in a couple years, start my real charactor.

Those that can, do. Those that can't, cheat and do anyway.

that aside I don't want to play with the GECK until I have a feel for what I want to change.

Stocking up on water and food and such then getting lost in the desert. Hopefully finding a house to buy so i have a base of operations and a place to restock and store things. Playing hardcoe all the way.

True...true...I'll probably rummage aboot in the GECK and change my lightweight leather armor to a nice suit and hat if I want to drop that one liner.

Besides going through the motions of choosing the hardcoe mode and creating a character, I'll probably check to see if that silly "running around with ones pistol held down by the character's hip" animation is also in Fallout New Vegas as it was in Fallout 3.

I'm going to explore around a bit and do some light quests to level up and acquire some money for weapons and ammo. Probably going to play it safe for a while until I can repair my Laser Pistol and get a decent reserve of Energy Cells.

Man I love these threads. So repetitive, so overused, but it gets me excited and I'm certainly not against it. =D
I'll explore Goodsprings first, talk to everybody, and then find a place to store my stuff. After that, I'll either go about some small quests in Goodsprings or just explore and eventually find my way to Vegas.
