Gonna be blind in one eye from killing many many argonians during the battles over Vvardenfell.

My precious little Dunmer got his scar on the right side of his face when Red Mountain erupted. He was a small boy, doing the average small boy thing, playing with cabbages. His father worked in Vvardenfell because of the rich soil to plant crops. The ground started to shake, and a huge billowing black cloud flew into the air spitting hot rock and magma all over Morrowind. He was quite far from home and any cover, he was in the farming feilds.

He looked behind him only to see a red hot piece of mountain come and sideswipe his face, any more to the left it would have destroyed his skull. He was knocked unconscious when he awoke the entire farm as far as he could see had turned to ash, his family and any neighbours were dead. He ran away from Morrowind in trauma and continued on the outskirts of Cyrodiil and ending up at the border of Skyrim...

It was a dark stormy night, my character HungryBlackCodfish was out looking for prey when he heard a distant rumble... thousands of screeching black birds began to enswirl him from above, leaving him in a very bad position seeing as his water just broke and there was no way to feed the baby.

While adjusting himself into the birthing position a freight train hit him in the face leaving him a laceration on his left cheek just below his eye. The birds then took his baby then told him it served him right for not paying for the 5kg of crack he consumed over the weekend.

Welp, I need to research some lore a bit to find out just exactly how it would work out, but I'm thinking the backstory for my character is that he grew up in Valenwood an orphan. Since his parents had died, and he was left to fend for himself, he was an easy target for Dunmer black market slavers who kidnapped him and took him to Skyrim. He was kept as a slave secretly through his youth, until finally, when he was old enough, finally escaped.

However, these Dunmer black market operatives had all their bases covered, with connections high up. They were able to have Marr'Taan hunted down and captured by authorities, and charged with murder (even though he obviously didn't). He was framed, and sentenced to execution by a corrupt system.

So the scars I give my character will reflect his days as a slave.

I do know that in lore, it was typically Argonians and Khajiit that were kept in slaves, and it was only legal in Morrowind. But that's why it's a black market. And run by Dunmer, because well, slavery is a part of native Dunmer culture.

And the scars remind us that the past is real i tear myself open just too feel............. thats right i just quoted Papa Roach you gotta problem with it?

My Altmer character Julius Scipion is a battlemage who after a night in the wawnet in talking to a fellow vampire, went outside to journey back to battlehorn castle was attacked halfway by a group of necromancers and conjurers working together in a battle in which hundreds of undead and living were slain julius emerged unharmed until the dying master conjurer and necromancer summoned a lich and storm atronach while julius`s back was turned and managed to slash his right shoulder blade being dispelled.

Orc warrior: Nuff said.
As for my Dunmer assassin I don't know, work accidents I guess.

I got mine from Hircine's Hunt after Tharsten turned on me and attacked me unexpectedly~ I left him with more then a scar though~

If you can, I will have it on my nord/dunmer, and the backstory would be, when my character was working for the morag tong, a drunk guard, caught my character in the act, and started to waddle over with his sword in one hand, and a glass tankard in the other, and him being drunk, went to slash my character, with the tankard even as my charcter showed him the writs.

I don't do the full back story usually, but after going through mass effect, and thinking of the reason my Commander Sheperd had his scars, I find it important, for player immersion, to explain, even if it's only to yourself, why your character bares the marks you choose.

As for mine, I will likely be a nord warrior, much like the mascot for Skyrim. He (Hopefully) will have two small but deep scars across the right side of his lips going down toward his chin. The explanation goes like this:

He was a child, nearly 6. His mother having died giving birth was not around to "soften" him up. His father formally a hired hunter, Hunting a specific group of bandits that were terrorizing the locals, was a tough as nails, Proud Nordsman. Striving to be like his father, he always carried a small blade. A year had passed since his father had chased the Bandit gang from the area, and things were finally beginning to look peaceful, but nothing can ever remain so. One late night, tired from the earlier hunting lesson with his father, he laid to bed. Only to awaken not long after closing his eyes to a small group of men trying to sneak past his bed, to the stairs leading to his father. He gave out a loud yell to alert his father, then with a thrust, dug his small blade into the gut of one of the trespassers, the men caught off guard turn and face the boy, leaving their apparent leader open to the fathers heavy strike from behind. The kill is short lived, when a third attacker runs a long skinny blade through the father... Fear over came the boy, he couldn't scream, he couldn't cry, he couldn't move. It was then that the same man who killed his father turned to him, pulling a strange jagged blade from his belt, he kneels to the boys face, holding his chin firmly, and raising his head, the Man began cutting deeply into the lips, all the while whispering "ssshhhh".

So yeah, there's my quick story.
