What is the history behind your scars?

Why would you do that to yourself?

I was young and chopped some wood. The axe was heavy, and the edge hit the left side of my stomach(between the stomach and back.)

My character is a freelance mercenary so he's obviously going to have a lot of scars, i'll see what option they have and put a story to each of them. Probably be a bandit slicing his face or a large bear attacking him.

Hello everyone. So this time around in the character creation, we can add scars on several places and in several different formations. So I became curious, I love this feature and I will use scars on all my characters. For me this is a unique chance to build a deeper background history on my character and make it visual on my character. So share your ideas and reasons why you choose to add scars on your character in Skyrim, is it from war? is it from an accident? :)

As I was running away from a pack of werewolves (hehe) I tripped and fell on a rock. Luckily, Alduin came by and killed them for me. Said something about "he's mine" or something like that. I ran to Riverwood where Alvor saved me.

My Nord is suspected of supplying weapons to the rebels and is tortured by Imperial scum. He wasn't a part of the uprising before, but he sure as hell is now!

Well, I have a scar on my face in real life, but instead of it being from a punch to the face (as it was) mine will be from fighting a bear in Skyrim. I just hope there are animal fur armors or animal headed helmets...I want to wear a bear (or wolf) head.

Did you win?

My second character who will be a Nord got bottled by a Breton lady while in a drunken stupour when he said she moved like a pregnant cow. My first character doesn't have any scars.

I count myself lucky that I was most likely knocked out and Alcohol poisoning at the age of 2 and a 1/2 making me unable to remember my early years when I had my accident.

My character was completing a DB contract. He slit the mans throat with ease but the mans wife walked in as the crime was committed. She took a fork and out of sheer adrenaline leaped over the table and stabbed him in his cheek. Her life had to be ended because of this as well

Guess I was...I dont even remember the time I was left unsupervised in my cot when I fell out and fractured my collarbone (hair-line). Never had anything on the scale of an axe in the gut......though the green-stick fracture on the same collarbone as before was painful, I can at least remember that one at 10yr-ish, also reminds me all the time after putting pressure on it because it still bends abit.

The alcohol poisoning was mostly my fault for having sticky fingers with a crate of fosters.
