what is the longest, largest dungeon mod?

Might kick it out then. After all, I think I might have seen enough crashes meanwhile - sometimes even crashes get boring....

- http://www.tesnexus.com/modules/members/index.php?id=138148 five mods (they are sort of belonging together reg. the loot, but you can also play them independently) are AFAIK mostly underground; check out the readmes (which unfortunately are a tiny little bit messy), because at least one of them has another mod (some armor IIRC) as requirement

Certainly nowhere near the longest, but very probably the most difficult of all modded dungeons.

Yep, designed as challenge for high level chars; Blackrock Mountain as the easiest (!) of the four (quote from readme) "is a very hard dungeon and the bosses should be next to impossible without the right use of your skills and spells and quite a few potions and scrolls". Next in line would be Lair of the Hydra, then Tower of the Lich king.

I recall strolling along the Gold coast, seeing some ruin in the distance, getting closer & recognizing some guy standing upon a platform. I went closer & saw some quite uninviting looking skeleton archer there - ignoring this "visual warning" I went closer, & that guy killed my quite well-developed (then again: thief-archer type) char with a single shot - without Duke Patricks′s or something like that. This was up to that point (200-300 hours, OOO-only plus lots of other non-overhaul things) the scariest, deadliest opponent I′ve met. Sort of didn′t seem unfair to me, though - that place & guy DID look scary (lots of shimmering etc.). Never got around to explore that one, so far. But apparently you′re not supposed to start with "Ancient Goblin City" (number four in the row), anyway, something I′ve found out all without readme...

If I remember correctly, Shikishima, it was a comment of yours, some years back, that led me to investigating Vibliriblands dungeons. A belated thanx mucho for that. :icecream: They are indeed very difficult, but in a deliciously challenging way. I use 3 of the 5: Blackrock Mountain, Lair of the Hydra, and The Tower of the Lich King, and keep my butt well away from them until I start thinking I'm invincible.

 Yeah.
I still sometimes have nightmares about Goblin City.
Level 57, with an uncapper and most of my majors close to or well over 100.
I thought I was a god until I died five times trying to get down there.....

shudder :yucky:  :ahhh:

Yes, seems it's a bit unlucky expressed. I was like, what? Elsweyr is in the Tamriel-ws, what's he doing in his mod? :D
Guess I'm going to give this a look now.

FYI, the Topal Bay Walkabout is very resource intensive - be prepared for reduced FPS. And in my opinion, not very fitting to the nearby geography and flora. There are plants from SI that can be found in the walkabout area, and I am just not happy with that.

I too have some issues with the mod, however, on the plus side, the author dose attempt to justify the SI plants via diary/journal entries (I'm an easy sell when it comes to plausible lore bending), and he states his intention to return for an update, after completing a current project. Says he wants to lower the FPS hit and finish a couple of sealed off areas in the walkabout dungeon. I've got my fingers crossed.

This mod along with maybe a dozen others, fall into my “diamonds-in-the-rough” category. A mod that really grabs my attention for some reason (innovative, unusual, unique aspects, creative use of standard resources, something) that sets it apart from the typical. It saddens me that they are often never given the final polishing I think they deserve. And although I know I have no right to expect more of any mod maker, I never-the-less hold out hope those diamonds-in-the-rough may someday shed those rough edges.
