What the? Moments in Oblivion #2

Post » Thu Dec 09, 2010 3:39 am

Skingrad looked interesting today. There seemed to be no color anywhere, and the whole thing was just a blob of blue and black shapes with people with no features walking around in mid-air.

... no idea what happened, I exited an reloaded and everything was back to normal.

My character was translucent, meaning I could see right through him. He was like a ghost. I had fun walking around while saying "Oooooooo! I am the ghost of Gregreo Oscaaarrruuuuss!! Boogy! Boogy! Boogyyyyy!!!" at random NPCs. Once I got him into his home in Skingrad, he became solid again.

This happens a lot:

If I jump out of water while swimming and land on land, it won't switch over to running animation -- I'll be doing swimming animations while hovering just over the ground. Sometimes I pretend gravity's gone awry and my character's enjoying the weightless environment.

That happens to me sometimes. My Imperial character is a Master of Acrobatics, and sometimes I go jumping across the water and land on land... only to hover constantly. I can't fast travel because I'm in the air, I can't jump because I'm technically jumping, and even getting whacked by bandits doesn't help. I have to reload. But it is fun to hover aimlessly for a few minutes. XD

I guess she went out clubbing before she died. (I had to...)

Well, actually, she did. http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Shivering:Duelists#Bugs

Was attacked by Zombies at Bravil Castle. Stepped out of the Castle, and Bam! Zombies. Two Dread Zombies. They killed the Wood Elf guy from the Fighter's Guild Trio.

One time I had made some potions of paralysis just to have fun with paralyzing myself in mid backflip and stuff. When I was leaving rosethorn hall to try it out though, I remembered the glitch where if you sit on the chair in the basemant, you cant get up because of the garlic. So I tested it, and you can't get up. Go figure. Anyway I went to fast travel to the arcane university while still sitting there. Upon arrival I drank a potion of paralysis and my body lost all collision with itself and became a puddle of goo on the ground.
If I drank a potion while on the stairs, my body would stretch out until it hit the wall, with part of me on the stairs, and the other half rolling down the stairs.
So then I went to dive rock :D My body would stretch out really far and then I would hit the ground and die.

Sadly I have been unable to recreate this glitch :(

Unbelievable, O has some glitches that sound like a horror story.

Just had a good one thanks to Training Cattle and Brotherhood Renewed I believe. Arquen started changing between Shrouded Armor and Black Hand robes at the rate of at least 15 times per second. It looked like she was taking a seizure. She was torn between feeding from a cow and going to sleep. She finally straightened herself out after going unconcious and flying across the cell to the cow to feed.

The F stands for Fanacasescul, why would that be censored?

I love you.

"WHAT THE FANACASECUL!?!?"

My moment was when I took all the bones I ever found in my game and put them in my Waterfront shack, by the time I had finished just about everything I could, I had a sea of bones in my shack, and it covered the bed/table/chests and it would lag, really bad when you walked in, so.. I went up to a guard, cut him down and made all the guards come after me, then I used a frenzy spell I made, (360 seconds) so I had the entire Imperial Guard force and the whole waterfront trailing my butt, and I ran in the house, and they all came in after me, and suddenly, (over a period of 10 minutes because of severe lag) dropped dead by themselves. That's it, they all just died.

I've never been able to do that. Been playing since release on 360. Message: "You cannot fast-travel from this location," for all interiors in the game world.

EDIT: I must always step outside, before initiating fast travel.

Probably a mod he don't remember has run into it myself.
In my game for some reason some of the male are wearing skirts probably a bug or conflict between two clothing mods.

I was supposed the kill the old Draconis women at Applewatch ( I forget her name), And when i cut her with my dagger she took off running into an old Fort. When I walked into it, she was gone. I walked back out and found her stuck inside a rock.....
Then started to sing and go "La La La La La La" while inside the rock.....

I play on the 360 too, no idea why it doesn't work for you.

Earlier today I was in a mine, walked into the second to last room and shot a goblin, and started to run backwards pelting it with my bow. that goblin dragged another with it, and I somehow got attacked from behind by a goblin archer. After I killed them, there were 2 more archers attacking me. I ran out of the cave, healed up, and killed them, and went back to that room. There I fought 2 more goblins, and then the last room had another one. That's 8 or more goblins in 2 small rooms, no idea what they were all doing back there but it was weird.

Again, I play on the 360 so there were no increased spawn mods messing around

Going to sleep in the Skingrad Mage's Guild and being woken up two hours later by Dion who only says "We're here to serve" before bolting out and going back to his usual patrol.

I'm still scratching my head over that one.

my friend told me about this one. If you shoot one of the soldiers in bruma with an arrow before the battle with the great gate and you have guards from each city there they will all slaughter each other. I think it is the AI making the gaurd you shot an enemy which makes all the guys from his city an enemy but then they become enemys with guards from the other cities who are allies with them so it turns to everyone for himself. its pretty epic

I just went to dive rock and instead of being a shimmering blue colour, the stupid troll was invisible. I literally had to track the troll by the arrows sticking out of mid air.
After it died, I promptly took the body parts and used them to decorate my Imperial City shack, bed! :celebration:

Hey, my troll was like that too! I thought it was supposed to, though. My character was like: "Well, two can play that game" and turned himself invisible too. It was really hard to defeat that son of a gun, but I managed eventually, and was extra proud when I did. Seriously -- wasn't that intentional on Bethesda's part? I though it was a really nice touch -- the quest wouldn't have been near as fun if the thing had been visible :P

Annoying.
You've made me need to play the MQ just so I can watch the herd thin itself before a major battle.
