what's the most annoying thing your follower (companion) does while your in battle?

when i sneek up on an enemy and aim my bow and just when i fire, my companion lydia runs out in front of me and takes an arrow to the back of the head or in her back (and she says is "watch it or hey i'm on your side").

(and if you've read my other topics i did mention it before).

Thats probably my biggest pet peeve in this game. They always get in the way like that.

On a different note, do followers set off traps?

Odds are they will do it often. By some miracle, they follow they exact pathing you do and avoid traps.

i did have a funny kill that involved lydia, i was in the heat of battle last night (i don't remember who i was fighting) i had very little space to fire my arrow because lydia was in front of me (again) and when i fired i got a kill cam that showed the arrow zipping between lydia's shoulder and head an i hit my target after that i said sorry the close call lydia.

Refuses to ride on the horse with me and demands to run behind me everywhere we go.

that's the way the game was written (i don't know why bethesda didn't include an option to buy a horse for your companions).

Repeatedly setting off the same trap. After the first time you'd think they would realize it was there. Maybe they need a good sneak skill to avoid them. Brelyna, who does have a high sneak skill, set off a swinging gate trap one time but then was able to walk around the pressure plate, while Lydia will step on it again and again and again and again and again....

I'm not sure i could pick one thing but heres the main 3

Block doors

Break stealth

Lydia walking over the same trap 5000 times.

This is my biggest complaint. I tried giving Faendal just a bow and no melee weapons, thinking he would stay back. As I watched, he actually picked up a battleaxe off the ground and ran right ahead again and attacked. Another time he used a pickaxe I had let him carry. I keep blasting them with my spells when they run in front of me to fight!

another thing thats annoying is that lydia will not wear any armor you give her, you can take away all the armor she's carrying and the game still shows her wearing steel armor.

Yep.

It depends on the follower, though. Brelyna's frost atronach can be pretty annoying in cramped spaces. Though I guess it also falls under the "block door" category.

When not in combat, it's their habit of putting on every hat, mask or ugly helmet you want them to just carry for you a little. And armor.

I have remembered why I quit playing Necromancers, Uhhh...

The noises of certain types of Followers is annoying. I can tolerate the Steadfast Dwemer Spider, but I hate the Sphere.

Being pushed, even Mods do not completely fix it happening at the worst possible moments.
