What's the most fun RP character you've played?

Post » Wed Sep 25, 2013 9:02 am

(also, i'm sort of new to the forums... so, hey... back to the thread)

I've only done two, my first RP character kind of flopped hard... so i started my second one. I based my characters appearance off of my kitten (obviously i'm using a khajiit) and typed a huge backstory to him before i started playing to really give myself an idea of how he plays. so far I'm having much more fun with this character.

So what has been your favorite RP character?

Also, since i enjoy this character and I don't want it to flop like my old one did. Any suggestions to keep it fun?

---------------

Summary

He came from a royal family of mages who live their life in secrecy, hidden in a castle on the outskirts of Elsweyr, but he was shunned for being naturally gifted in the black arts. his father attempted to kill him while sailing, but he made a leap of faith and jumped into the ocean to escape. He was picked up by the Sloads where he lived a good portion of his young life. Every action he took was slowly unleashing the evil within him. The Sloads offered to help him train in necromancy, under one condition: he would lead an attack on his family so that the Sload could raid their library for knowledge to help further their own strength in the black arts (using him as a translator, since Sloads cannot read). Once he was old enough and strong enough he led the attack on his family. He killed everyone, his father, brother, cousin, 3rd aunt, you name it. there were several Sload casualties (including one sergeant). He recovered a note from the dead body of the sergeant that stated that once he was done translating the scrolls he were to be assassinated out of the sloads best interest, so that he may not run off one day; there is little known about the Sload, and they prefer it that way.

upon reading this he summoned the mass number of dead corpses around him to attack the Sloads that had just helped kill his family. He killed most but some got away, he knew he had to escape Elsweyr to survive, the nearby Sloads will likely stop at nothing to have him killed. so he ran. But his time with the Sloads changed his mentality to make him a perfect vessel for an evil mad-man. He inherited the Sloads mentality of self loving, consumed with acting in self interest greed and so on.

His goal is simple, rule Tamriel with an iron first and a massive undead army at his side.

I've been having loads of fun with this character. I use a stealth unarmed combat (unarmed enchantment and heavy-armor unarmed skill), resurrect my stealth kills to help fight what ever enemies remain.

So: unarmed, conjuring (limited to familiar and necromancy), and restoration (turn undead, and healing), i even dabble in illusion (i only use muffle though)

I made him more of a scavenger, primarily get my gear and potions from looting although i also buy from the khajiit caravans, since his bounty is so high in most holds from all the stealing and murdering (being such an evil vengeful person he kills everyone that insults him or speaks rudely to him)

You're not really new. You joined last year.

Anyways, I haven't had an actual RP experience. I plan to with my next character.

(I'm still working on her story)

She's an female Imperial, a top agent of the Penitus Oculatus. She was sent to Skyrim by the Emperor himself to aid General Tullius and to investigate rumors of a supposed assassination plan.

I'm on PS3, so I'm going to RP that I'm not bring sent to the block, but rather as an archer on one of the towers in Helgen.

well, i joined last year and made a couple posts here and there, then i went ghost for a long time.
I like the idea of the Imperil top agent I've still never played through the entire civil war. Once I get a little bored with this character I'll switch off with him and a female stormcloak who joined cause of her hate for the elves. though. What you could do instead of pretending you're an archer is that you could pretend that Penitus Oculatus got word, last minute, that ulfric had been captured and sent you to be caught crossing the border as a cover up to have the chance to learn more about ulfric and the stormcloacks while riding side-by-side to the execution. just a thought.

I like the idea. I have an evil mage myself and it's a great RP. He's so consumed with self-love that he's as vile a person as can be. Power and knowledge is all that he seeks. But he also has a firm disrespect for creation. Eating the flesh of the dead is one particular way he enjoys to show how much disrespect he has. He doesn't just murder everyone at random, there is no strategy in that (he's more of a sociopath than he is a psychopath, except that he doesn't attempt to make anyone *like* him) and he may end up killing someone that could have something to offer at some point. He's also smart enough not to raise anyone's suspicions or place unnecessary roadblocks in front of himself. He's going to become a vampire when I pick him up again. Drinking the lifeblood of the innocent to give yourself immortality and immense strength is the ultimate way to unjustly use someone. When he deems them useless husks, he'll feed on them til death, then feast on their corpses.

He's brought Eola along with him since they have the same *tastes*. But, as she grows closer to him, she nears her end. He wants her to love him, then he will offer her up to Boethiah as the ultimate betrayal of trust. I haven't tried this yet, but I'm hoping at that point to feast on her corpse as a final farewell, then raise her to be a thrall.

Nothing beats the first character

My first character Seekrath the argonian was a thief and hired sword for many people. The fun I had exploring mountains and caves wont be the same if I went on now :( shame

My favorite RP so far was Derrik Bearclaw, Nord father, Emperial mother. Battlemage, Dragonborn, Legate of the Emperial army and Member of the Dawnguard. Lawful good it was his personal mission to distroy all the Dragon Priests that he caught rumor of.

I RP'd a character who suffered from an advanced form of Lycanthropy..

she had to drink a cure Disease potion every night, if she didn't she would revert to her beast form and instinctively slaughter any nearby Citizens....

So she traveled the land, searching for ingredients for such potions, while investigating rumors of a cure...

Most fun? Probably http://i.imgur.com/ljP4GMD.jpg. She was my Dunmer witch, totally obsessed with fire. And men. Liked to call people idiots. Hated undead and all kinds of necromancy (which included never using any kind of Raise Unded spells or staves, and not even use black soul gems). She was actually a rather nice person, but she had a hot temper and knew how to hold a grudge.

She came to Skyrim to search for her long-lost aunt, got visions from Kynareth (who she actually worshipped, a bit unusual for a Dunmer perhaps, but she had grown up in Cyrodiil and learned about magic from a human who worshipped the Divines, so... She did worship Meridia and Azura as well.) These visions made her decide to join the war, and since she was from Cyrodiil, and had heard a lot of bad things about the Stormcloaks and Ulfric (and his dislike of the Dunmer people), she joined the Legion. It lastedf or about a week, then she got the Jagged Crown, got more visions, had an internal crisis since she got her heart broken at the same time (Erandur dumped her after a short but intense romance), and ended up taking the crown to Ulfric instead.

She soon learned he had absolutely nothing at all against Dunmer. Especially not female, naked Dunmer.

She also learned she was Dragonborn, killed Alduin and all that. Somewhere along the way she picked up Marcurio, who soon fell hopelessly in love with her, and eventually she ended up dumping Ulfric for the scrawny, arrogant Imperial wizard who could never shut up.

The worst part of this RP was to make things turn out the way I wanted them to, since this was all on PS3.

My first was an Imperial who became unhinged after the Companions introduced him to lycanthropy. He left the Companions and joined the DB to indulge his newly-awakened darker side, eventually becoming one of the most wanted killers in Skyrim's history. (It was fun figuring out how to dodge guards, and even more fun to lead them to their deaths. I discovered Windhelm guards don't repawn. )

The only RP I'm doing with my current character is when he's in and out of Beast Form really. Outside of it he feels a constant "itch" in his head, which is his wolf wanting to get out, but it's rather easy to ignore, this itch obviously became unbearable during Ill Met By Moonlight, but any other time he can ignore it and doesn't need to do anything about it. When his back is against the wall, or when the enemies are not dieing the way enemies should when they're being sniped with Glass Arrows and he lets the wolf out, nothing gets in his way or escapes his claws. No enemies, no bystanders, no followers, nothing.

The most fun I have ever had with any character in all of TES, was a Vampire character that I made on a whim, out of boredom to try and see how many quests I could do as a Stage 4 Vampire 24 / 7. Turns out... you can do all of them.

Granted, this was before Dawnguard screwed up the gameplay mechanic of not being AoS at stage 4, but still.

By far the most fun I have had. The most hilarious events as well.
