What is the most overused word in this forum?

Post » Sat Dec 17, 2011 10:51 am

- Overpowered
- Broken
- Unbalanced
- Bugs
- Arrow
- Knee

9 out of 10 threads have one of these words either in the title or in the first post, this is statistically proven. Threads like "cooking recipes are unbalanced" and "bare handed combat is overpowered" pop left and right, not to mention the "arrow in the knee" jokes.

The another 10% that don't contain any of these probably start with "Thank you Bethesda" or something but they are rarer than a backwards flying dragon.

So which one of these has become the most cliche in your opinion?

Unbalanced is by far the most inappropriate :D

In that, why should X character be balanced with Y character? Doesn't the imbalance simply mean different gameplay? "Balance" implies that some people wish to play the same game the same way, just using different weapon names. Warrior X can one-hit this troll, therefore Mage Y should be able to do the same, only with fewer skills for some reason ;)

Underpowered is the one I love to hate. This game isn't hard, and if it is hard for you, put the difficulty down.

Statistically I don't know and an not going to try to work it out but to me "broken: seems most often used inappropriately. I fid unbalanced while overused is iften more appropriate to the issue if often even them overstating the problem.

For some reason I cannot see the poll options. I'm not sure if it's because I'm the OP or it didn't work properly.

Underpowered, overpowered, broken.

And then we have "arrow knee" topics and the oh so fun "whining about whiners whining"

EDIT: Actually, "Morrowind" might be the most overused word on the forums. :)

I think marriage is one of the most popular words right now in forum. I am considering becoming an expert on Tamriel's divorce law as a result and setting up shop in game...

What makes you think it's a poll? You just post what you think is the most overused word in the forum.

There was a poll with the words but it didn't worked. I think I don't know how to create this stuff.

A word that was popular before release, to 'justify' everything that was cut, removed, simplified for no reason.

"Redundant"

I hate that word now with a passion. No matter how often I kept pointing out that redundancy is a good thing in a sandbox RPG, people kept saying things like: "Spellmaking was redundant".

Now, even with non TES related things, I cringe when I see that word.

No poll here, and you're supposed to see it too.

I think it is probably more like, THE, or IS, or GAME, or SKYRIM, or WHAT, or OR. Stuff like that.

This GAME IS unbalanced! SKYRIM does not deserve THE GAME of THE year reward OR do you think differently?
