Post » Thu May 03, 2012 1:47 pm

errr.....

You'd have to go to mods to get revealing armour....as the standard Morrowind body meshes are too low quality to make revealing armour actually revealing.....for that reason, none of the armour is revealing.

Do you know what's in there?!

But uuuh. Are there any revealing armors in Morrowind? I think this game still realizes that the armor is there to protect you, not show you off.

That loincloth thing you sometimes see in-game. It's not armor, I don't think, though.

This does indeed count as armor based off of many fantasy armors in other games and mods.

This. MW came out when some type of super skimpy armor wasn't necessarily a requirement in a fantasy game. Not that I'm complaining either way, lol.

There's no revealing armor in vanilla Morrowind period. Before Better Bodies, it was not possible to show both armor and skin at the same time on the same bodypart. Early clothing mods like HurdyGurdy tanktops or CanadianIce's Metal Queen Boutique would circumvent that limitation by making skin actually part of clothing's mesh, which required including ten different versions of each clothing/armor for each racial variety and some tricky scripting to make them stand in for each other when transferred from other NPCs' inventory. I actually wrote an http://www.angelfire.com/rpg2/mad_weather/clothes.html long ago... of course, with Better Bodies becoming a de-facto standard for modders and players, it's obsolete now.

Unarmored skill still exists in Morrowind. So run around naked all you want, there's a skill for that. people may even have humerous comments for you.

Use Better Bodies (naked vanilla bodies are hideous) and the Code Patch (fixes the unarmored skill so it actually works) before you do.

Mods are the way to go for revealing armor. I'd recommend the Bob's Armory mods first and foremost, followed by the Aleanne mods and Aradia's Needle. I play with all of them, good quality stuff. Also, I know Cenobite has put out some more revealing versions of regular armor, though I can't attest to how well they work.

I just found out that loincloth thing is on the boiled Netch armor chest piece and maybe some other chest armor sets have something similar... I use the Better Bodies mod, and even without it, wearing that thing and no other armor or clothing is kinda skimpy. I use a mod that puts more NPCs in the game, and saw a lady running around in nothing but that specific piece of armor. There's also that one piece of chest armor that covers the front of the lower body, but not the back. The most revealing this game's armor gets is the ones that also have a loincloth or a flap that only covers one area of the lower body as far as chest armor goes...
