This is effing annoying. everytime others and i talk about location, doesn't even have to do with future fallout games, the moderators lock it down and send us to a different thread(most likely one they created or maintain on a regular basis).

Forums need to have some independence from people like the moderators, who wants to look at the 20th comment page of a thread? topics should be allowed individually and if they grow and become popular then bethesda can use them, but to restrict access, especially about locations which is one of the most talked about subject, is actually damaging to the actual goal of a forum.

Please Stop locking down the pages and forcing us to look at the same thread over and over again.

if my account gets deleted for saying this i don't care. this post will probably be deleted too in that scenario so no one will see this.

You are in luck. You don't get to see the 20th page. Threads get locked at 7, and then another one is started (that repeats the last one sometimes almost verbatim).

but my point is still semi-valid, why create a thread of your own ideas when it is just going to get locked? I know for the topics i post, i just want to see others' opinion on the stuff i put, but if it gets cataloged under one thread people are less likely to see it and comment on it by focusing on the previous comments of the guy before.

I know the rules on this forum, but some just seem out of date and should be updated. All they have to do is create a place where all the people who want to post theories individually can do so as long as they don't flame or curse.

I do wish we had a little bit more leeway. It's hard to discuss Fallout 4 suggestions in the Fallout 4 suggestion thread due to the Bethesda bashers derailing everything.

If you want the Bethesda Developers to see your ideas, then keeping all the ideas for things like Location in one thread is the way to do that. The developers are far too busy to sift through dozens of threads, mostly saying the same things, to glean ideas the fans want. By limiting topics like locations and future game ideas to one thread, we are doing you and the developers a favor by providing a mechanism that most efficiently allows them to get the information.

If someone is dragging a thread off topic, then just report the posts in question and we will deal with it.
