Hard choice since I, like several others, don't really
hate anything. That being said, I picked sound for the voice acting. I also wish we could go back to the days of Morrowind where even random NPC's had a lot more things to say (just general information about the town, local landmarks, etc), and from the little exposure that I've had to Daggerfall, that seemed pretty neat too. But I don't hate it. They're quality games, and if ES: V turns out to be as good as Oblivion, I'll be happy (happier if it's more like Morrowind, but I won't hold my breath).
The animation could use some more work, but I can't say I really care all that much.
The other choice for me would be the storyline. Between the two, I love Morrowind's story over Oblivion's by far. Not just the main storyline, but all of the side stuff Morrowind had going on as well: the quest-lines in the Great Houses and guilds were interesting and just far deeper than in Oblivion. Bloodmoon (and to a lesser extent, Tribunal) made a far more interesting expansion for Morrowind than SI did for Oblivion (though I certainly did enjoy SI).
Morrowind is my favorite video/computer game. I've never had anything come close to my love for that game (modded, of course
), though Oblivion certainly went a good distance along the same path. If ES V (hopefully it will be made soon, and NOT an MMO) would have the depth of Morrowind, graphics like Oblivion, FO3, or FO:NV (or better would be good as well). For me, Morrowind is to video games as Tolkien's world of Arda (Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, The Silmarillion, etc) is to fantasy literature. The depth of Tolkien's world is outstanding far and above anything else I've ever read, and I just keep going back. It's the same way with Morrowind for me.
