What in the world is the Galeons figurine supposed to be?

Post » Thu Sep 13, 2012 11:11 am

I've noticed something weird after looking at ships like Dainty Sload and The Red Wave. They have very weird Galleons and their faces doesn't look like anything of men or mer. To me it looks like a Hunger with a falmer helmet, which doesn't make any sense. Does anyone know what it's supposed to be?

EDIT: I am referring to the figures on the front of the ships in TES V: Skyrim, if my language wasn't clear

Let me just quickly go and take some screenshots of each's figure, than I'll get back to you... I'll edit them into this post.

Thank you, I'm on the Xbox 360 so the details wouldn't show much

Im assuming you mean the figureheads.

Ive loaded the game to go take a look but unfortunately Bethesda refuses to give us levitation back so I cant really take a close look.
It seems to be a vaguely man-shaped decoration.
I have no idea of its significance though, sorry.

TCL is your lovely friend. I checked them, they look like a rather malnourished Sload... screenshots won't upload for some irritating reason, my internet is acting up (Those who live in the UK and use Talktalk will understand).

Maybe after the All Flags Navy defeated the Sload it was commonplace to impale their bloated bodies until they became dessicated husks of themselves as a sign if victory and unity? Maybe it just wqs a tradition passed down since then? Or they are artistic renditions of Wisp Mothers so that the ships would not be led astray in the night. Last theory, Dreugh females are ugly as sin but more humanoid than their male counterparts.

I like the first the best, only now most of these Sload figureheads are simply carved of wood.

*edit* Magelight in the screencaps because my screen was too dark.
