Im Curious what would ruin brink for you? and don't say it svcking, like to me if their is a bug where if you parkour to close to a wall or something you go thru the wall.

What would redem that for me is if you Parkour to much you can trip an die that would be just lulz

Mostly a TDM will make me dig a hole light the inside of the hole on fire then drop the game into the pit of fire

I hope nothing will ruin Brink for me but to be honest I realize how fragile this game is. All the scripts put into it...anything could happen.
And I'll be all like :swear: if something does happen.

Raging prepubascent squeakers cursing just because I'm better than them. Thank the video game gods for the mute button. The only thing besides that that I worry about is moronic AI

Terrible lag whilst online. I've heard Brink has excellent netcode though, so I'm not particularly worried.

Each faction's campaign is 5 hours of gameplay long. So do you mean each faction's campaign being short, or in all.

If the game was random, and not skill based. And by that I mean skills like aim, in game iq and so on.

Lag. That the game will be like black ops and depend on the host's connection. That no matter how good your connection is, the host's [censored] connection will drop you down with him. I want the game to run smoothly.

Except of course Splash Damage would never subject us to that kind of sheer idiocy.

I honestly can't think of what could ruin Brink for me. I mean, they've taken so much time and effort to remove everything that makes gaming (especially multiplayer) [censored] and leaving all the nice bloody juicy tender bits for us to tear into tooth and nail. I look at this game and see a restructuring of the gameplay sandbox the way Halo: Reach reshaping their sandbox with the new shield physics, weapons, and Armor Abilities. But Brink takes it to a much higher level. Splash Damage has worked insanely hard for this; I think they have the experience and the drive to deliver all the wonders and treasures they've promised with this game.

So no, there is nothing within reason that makes me think there can be anything to ruin Brink.

That the game will be connection based on consoles like lag ops instead of skill based.

I'm dreading the game becoming too vastly misinterpreted, and online will just become a camp-fest killing fields.

What would ruin Brink for me? Well, if I'm met with a dumbed down console shooter poorly ported to my PC come Tuesday, I'll be more than a little disappointed.

As a PC gamer, I've lost faith in the FPS genre as publishers saw dollar signs when the already-obsolete-at-launch-non-upgradeable-PCs-in-the-living-room-with-handicapped-peripherals (aka "Consoles") became a viable market for shoe-horned genres (I still get a laugh at developers trying to fit a decent MMO onto a console).

I have no problem with console shooters...on a console. When they're poorly ported to a PC and I encounter a "Press Start" on the title screen followed by sluggish controls designed for a controller and severely limited options for graphics and controls, we have a problem.

I'm a big fan of Splash Damage and have enjoyed their past products but I've seen far too many formerly great FPS developers succumb to the port side and make crappy console ports of FPSes on the PC.

So, to reinforce my initial statement, I don't want another Harrison Bergeron-ed console port on my PC or this will be another developer I write off.

There will be no port, Brink was made separately for each system so ports wouldn't be an issue

A thing i really don't like in FPS's is the extreme nerfing they usually do after community asks for that (in weapons mostly).

PSN still being down on release =*(

OT: The way I see it, the destruction objectives are fin, but im worried about how the escort missions will go down. Seems like the team escorting will have a verrrrrrrry hard time. But even the implementation of things like TDM would be fine. Worked fine in BFBC2 with teamplay as long as you stayed with your squad

Hackers or microtransactions would ruin it for me. Probably not a problem though.

I agree with Kienan. I just watched the video in the link...and my good mood has been ruined.... :swear: . It's because of hackers like them that most people, who want to enjoy the games they own, CAN'T!!!!! Hackers messed up PSN for my nephew, now hackers are working on crap that will be unfair for people without the hacks. If they can't play a game without hacks, they shouldn't bother with it, if they can come up with the coding and stuff for that, they should put some effort into making their OWN game.

Same here, this is why I don't like to go on the forum that much. It's not like it was back then.

LAG, glitchers, the typical FPS bull [censored]. Other then that I will party up with my friends and play randoms until the cows come home. Also the forums are fine. if by "troll" you mean people with an interest in the game but don't want to use the same 3 topics yea its very "trolly" here.
