Considering what he was I am not sure that is really the wrong choice to make even if the victims are raiders. I do know that letting him live is a huge negative with Curie.

I even ran past her taking the hits,
but I couldn't get in the Vertibird until I had decorated the wall.
Felt bad.
Kept the cure for myself in Vault 81. Sorry dude, but i'm not traveling the wastes with mole rat herpes. How else am I supposed to get laid? No ladies will come near me with that...I don't want to have to pay double..
The worst part is he couldn't afford to take care of the dog, and was going to sell him to you, provided you could give the dog a good home. He even starts to cry when he sells the dog to you.
I only really committed the necessary evils on both paths I took so far, i.e. murdered the Railroad who did nothing but help me (twice), gunned down fleeing scientists for the BoS and blew up synth!Shaun, then killed Danse (at least that was in self defense and he died honorably as a Paladin, defending the Airport) and of course there's all those squires on the Prydwen.
But so far the worst I felt was when I recalled those four synths in Bunker Hill for the Institute. Something about the way you get to talk to them before coldly reciting their recall codes anyway. Didn't help I accidentally took that one's money first. Even killing them for the Brotherhood felt, idk... cleaner.
That said, I have the Railroad playthrough to do now, and I'm planning to, ironically, do it with the douchiest character I can viably roleplay, so I'll see how that works out for me.
My player did too. I rerolled to an earlier save afterwards and put him in a dress.
Jon Lun also wears one. A pink one for good measure. And promoted him to Brahmin [censored] collector. I know I'm supposed to be impressed by his sad story, but his constant whining when moving into shouting distance was getting on my nerve. Now what to do about Marcy and Mama Murphy?
Railroad Ending
Yeah... this didn't sit well with me the first time, but I changed the way I did things on the 2nd play through to avoid doing that.
I shot a guy in the back of the head after he tried to get me to buy a charge card. Seemed appropriate.
Oh this thread!
You guys are some sick and twisted Sole Survivors . . . trying to think here the "worst" thing I've done . . . kinda seems Boy Scout compared to some of you lot (and excluding "test" play such as: making sure I have a save, and unloading magazine after magazine into Deacon to see if he was Essential . . . yep, Essential. Damn.).
1. Have accidentally killed a few traders and provisioners thinking they were raiders (Recon scopes don't have the best resolution at long range you know)
2. Very early in game killed a cat with iron sights cause it was probably 80m away I couldn't tell if it was some horrible critter or what it was.
3. Routinely bombard Dogmeat and his generaly vicinity with Molotovs whenever he is playing his "Bad Guy Magnet Routine." He gets over it, but that little pained whining noise he makes when he is in bleed out always makes me twinge just a bit.
4. Robbed every single domicile and structure in Diamond City blind.
5. I think I might have blown up that little girls robot, not sure . . .
6. For a while there I was putting all my female NPCs (settler followers, etc.) in "Harness" cause it sounds and looks dirty . . . not so bad I guess, but then stop and consider that . . . I actually found Marcy Long kinda-sorta 'hot' (well lukewarm anyway) in "Harness" so maybe not so good either . . .
6. Dressed Danse up in a Blue Sequin dress and sent him to live with Deacon (dressed as a raider), and Strong (dressed as a Super Mutant) with all the ghouls at Slog.
7. I shot this one Synth during the course of killing that one courser. I just listened to her a couple times and thought "You're a lying scum bag" . . . I could almost make out her saying under her breath "You deserve to die . . " just as she initiated talking to me and just made a split second decision and shot her in the head. There was a synth component in her, but I have no idea what quests or anything I missed out on.
That is about it for me. Other than that I'm pretty much a "good" guy.
Sounds like poetic justice for Danse. On both counts. The only thing I would have done differently is the sequin dress. They're pretty hard to come by. A simple laundered dress would have done just fine.
As for me, robbing places blind is kind of my second nature in Fallout games. And I shot a number of settlers, though that shouldn't count, since it wasn't intentional, but when I tried to fend of an attack. Not my fault if they think it's a good idea to move into my line of fire.
I
LOL, alright.
In any case, I made sure to put a bullet into him, just to make sure he dies.
Man, I love the http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/837/? mod.
