What thing are you going to miss from oblivion

Post » Sat Mar 05, 2011 11:19 pm

Well, I haven't played Skyrim yet, but I believe Oblivion will be dead to me once Skyrim arrives.

Morrowind will live on. :flamethrower: Bring it.

I think among other things i may miss the music, no doubt Skyrim will have great music, maybe just as good, but it will be different, so Oblivion's musical score will still be unique.

I think i'l also miss that poor bosmer that was going mad in Skyngrad, no matter how many times i reloaded that mission i wasn't able to save him from his madness, either he ended up getting killed by a guard or he himself ended up killing someone, i never did find out if it was possible to save him somehow.

I haven't played Skyrim, yet, and we don't even know about everything that isn't in the game, yet, so I can't really say what I'll miss, quite yet... or at least I can't make a FULL list of what I'll miss.

I'l also miss rifling through the sacks, shelves and desks in the various mages guilds, stealing all the alchemical equipment and relieving the dinner table plates of all the tomatoes and corn on the cobbs :)

Hive mind guards most likely. Oh who am I kidding.

I.. won't miss anything. Oblivion is THE best game made so far and will be the second best game ever made when Skyrim comes out, or if skyrim doesn't quite live up to it's name Oblivion will be the best game ever. Doesn't mean I miss anything from it.

Mostly the NPC voices and some of the locations. I always found the Nord and Orc voices to be hilarious.

Also, if you chose to, things could be duplicated so you wouldn't have to worry about running out if that's how you wanted to play. Health potions, soul gems, money, etc. were always available if needed. Hopefully there is some kind of duplication glitch in Skyrim.

I'm with you. I can think of a few things (Okay, a whole boatload) that I'd hate to see return, but not one thing that I'll miss.

The stupid random npc-npc dialogue that made my day so many times...
The stupid physics that made objects pop like popcorn...
The stupid leveled loot that made my thieving adventures worthless...

lol this thread is funny :D I hope Skyrim will improve so much on every single aspect of Oblivion so I won't miss anything. Maybe I'll miss the peaceful skies if the dragons turn out to be some annoying sort of fat cliff racers.

Nicely said, but I think it's Morrowind they should improve on, improving on Oblivion is a truism.

It was "Stop!". "Halt!" was the cry of the Daggerfall http://youtu.be/H4BNbHBcnDI...er, guards.

Spellmaking isn't confirmed to be out. I honestly can't answer this question until I play Skyrim.

According to Todd Howard it is out. Thats enough confirmation for me. It was said in the podcast that it feels to spreadsheety and they like the way the new magic system works. I for one am excited about it being gone.

On the subject I wont miss a thing from Oblivion.

Cyrodill. People say its bland and generic but I, personally, found it quite refreshing.
