"there is no time for lockpicking or bashing" Shows everytime I try to open a locked container. It also glows purple, why is this and how can I stop it? I have 10 lockpicks, no enemies around and have some blunt weapons too.

It's part of a mod, so once again, may I direct you to the http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/forum/25-mods/. I believe it's bundles with OOO as well so look for the OOO topic and ask there perhaps.

From a mod. Try putting your weapon away when lock picking chests.

As mentioned above, it's likely from a mod like OOO.

And it likely means that you are in combat or being hunted by guards and so cannot lockpick at that time.

The purple glow is from Lock Bash; it means you've targeted the chest for bashing. If you want to pick a lock instead, sneak -- and don't have a blunt weapon or claymore unsheathed.
