what is it

ive tried changing graphic settings, reloading the cell, restarting the game

it doesnt go away. It just randomly showed up when i loaded the game near rivet city

Might be artifacts and an indication that your card is overheating. What card are you using and what's your load temperature?

I'm on a new system that handles fallout 3 very easily. The temp inside the case is well regulated and I've yet to see temps go above 34 C

Plus, this continues if I've just let the system idle for a while.

Anyway, I've set myself up with a nice CTD. But I'll hopefully get a chance to try tomorrow after the system has been off for several hours. But I'm going to have to do a clean install, so who knows.
