Well if you're looking for another mage thrall, Orchendor (boss from the end of the Peryite quest) is a good choice, as he's immune to all magic. All of it. 100% immune. Personally, I like to Atronach Forge a Dremora, kill that, and Thrall it. They even keep their regular voices instead of moaning. Basically it's a permanent Conjure Dremora Lord, and if you do it at a sufficiently high level, they're really powerful.

I had Ondolemar for a while. He wasn't particularly powerful but it was fun for RP purposes.

I really enjoy bending the Unbound Dremora to my will. LOL. Are two mage thralls good? Or would a mage/warrior thrall be preferred?

If you're playing a squishy mage, then having a tank thrall would help. But, it is all up to you. Whatever you think is coolest/best.

I am playing a squishy mage. So perhaps I will go with a mage thrall and a tank thrall

Orchendor svcks, or at least he did when I thralled him with 4 different characters. He died more than all of my other thralls combined. Master Vamps (or Ancients if you have the Necromage perk) and Master mages are beastly. Forsworn Ravagers, Northwatch Keep Guards, and Bandit Chiefs are the best melee and archer thralls, IMO.

Two Forsworn Ravagers strikes me as amazing because you'd just mow down everything in front of you.

If you want a good archer thrall then search for a Bandit Marauder that causes your health to rapidly go down. You may die on first hit so be careful.

Also I've just realize that if you have a weapon that you want your thrall to use before turning them into your slave you first hand then any weapon you desire that is in your inventory and they will use it.

If you want a melee thrall, the champ of boethiah is decent...he wears that special ebony armor even after removing from him and weilds a ebony weapon and shield

For mage thrall, definitely orchendor

I never used orchendor as a thrall before but base on what I see on videos hes not a good thrall at all. Sure maybe if you're being faced with a bunch of mages but for bandits, not a good choice.

Go checkout this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vSpzb111WC0 to see just how terrible he is.

That's been my typical experience with him. One time, however, he destroyed an entire Forsworn camp almost by himself. He was flinging around thunderbolt and incinerate and icy spear like it was cool. I couldn't get him to repeat that, and he just went back to casting frostbite and getting beaten to death in a corner. His AI seems to be tragically broken when he becomes a dead thrall.
