I was extremely happy to see the man in the trailers wearing a dress.
Well, from the looks of the gameplay preview, not only will it be back, but will be unisix. As in "gown not PJs for men".
As opposed to the bugface old-school power armor with the giant bullet catcher for extra ricochet-around-the-head fun.
Whatever they add, just make sure there's more than NV and that they don't merge helmets and outfits, though from the e3 vid it doesn't look like they merged anything.
I think the outfit (sans hat) will be "merged"... by the player as per their composition choices.
Hoping for things that are like the riot gear from lonesome road and the merc oufits, Id love to mix and match parts between those.
I want a science labcoat or a repairman's jumpsuit.
At least my male characters can wear dresses... It's not exactly what I asked for but at least that's something of a plus.
This. So good to see the classic Enclave power armor back. I also look forward to a nice overcoat to wander the waste in when I'm not in power armor.
Indeed Mr Darin, I've been playing the Fallout App game for possible clues on in-game outfits and I've acquired a few US officer uniforms. Hopefully they'll be in the game.
As long as there's Pre-War military gear I can don, I'm a happy camper. With the modding system, I'm hoping to make Pre-War decorated T-45d of T-51b Power Armour. With the settlement rebuilding option, there will be a new America. : >
I want to be able to mix outfits. They stated that you can layer armor, maybe apparel works the same way.
It looks so much better when scaled properly. I liked the New Vegas mesh well enough, and I know that Obsidian did what they could, but the overall design definitely suffered from how downsized power armor was in the Fallout 3 engine.
Yeah pre-war military stuff would be great. Would be nice to be able to add to it with the new layered armour feature.
Edit: The Enclave helmet looks badass in the presentation.
I'd like to see some much more effective Light and Medium armors. As cool as power armor is, I'd rather not have it be game breakingly effective. NV had a good balance in that regard, I think.
Maybe Ulysses' Duster somehow made it to Boston?
Oh, and these. I WANT THESE GLASSES: http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/37230/?
In black, of course.
And I want a scarf.
I felt the problem was the opposite: power armor wasn't good enough compared to lighter armors, whereas light armor had various perks and the best medium armors not only looked phenomenal but also equaled lower end power armor but with better bonuses.
Hmm.... Kinda agree with you there. Wasn't much reason to use Power Armor when light and medium were just as good.
Maybe there could be perks that allowed you to favor specific types of armor? I can see light and medium armors being more effective than power armor, if you're properly trained to use them.
Even if the Armor itself isn't there, I hope at least that the Coils are there to strap onto my T-51b's back.
I also want more than one set of Power Armor. One for every different module.
More pre-war clothing and wide brim fedoras http://www.mobstersball.com/mobsters_09_main.jpg
The obvious question here would be why is there Enclave power armor in Boston. Wonder if there is some canonical reason or if it is just an easter egg.
Well, if it's AT LEAST 2277, there's been 30-40 years since the Enclave/BoS war in the West. It's not impossible trader caravans sold it to collectors and other types. It could also have been pulled off the corpse of an Enclave remnant. There's plenty of ways it could have surfaced in the East. It doesn't need a rich and glorious lore story. Sometimes things just drift around.
What would be really great is if you found Oliver Swanick, powder ganger turned caravan guard, somewhere in Boston wearing a suit of Enclave armor.
Again though.... glacier glasses and scarves.
I want them.
