Post » Mon Jun 20, 2011 4:51 pm

Build Name: Tin Lizard

Race: Argonian

Skills: Two-Handed, with perks to specialize in greatswords; Heavy Armor; Smithing; Block; Speechcraft

Will basically play him as a Knight-Errant who wanders the land, righting wrongs and saving the day.

Build Name: Bounty Hunter

Race: Argonian

Skills: Archery; Alchemy; One-Handed (will dual-wield a sword and dagger); Light Armor; Sneak.

Will basically play him as an expert tracker who kills bandits for fun and profit and takes quests that involve hunting down outlaws.

My main 2 that i do, will look a bit different with the perk system though (getting the feeling to truely speacialize we wont be able to have 7 main skills). 280 confirmed perks, 18 skills, average of 15.5 per skill. That means 3 skills can be perfect and 1 will get 3.5 points. Even passing on a few things you dont want your looking at being good at 5 things, or good at 4 and average at 2.

Build name: Thief
Race: Bosmer, might go imperial or redguard based on looks.
Description: A robyn hood type of thief who has respect for the poor. Pretty subpar at actually stealing things, mainly strong in the areas of sneaky combat.
Dual wields: 2 short swords, depends what i can find/how they look. If im unable to block/parry while doing this i will go sword and shield or scrap the idea completely.
Main Skills: One Handed, Light Armor, Smithing, Sneak - Average at Marksman and Alchemy.
Perks: Roughly looking at 10 in my main 4 skills and 5 in my average ones, Intentions being to sneak up on enemies and stab them, unless lighting is against me in which case ill use a bow. However i plan to be skilled enough with my swords that i should be feared even if i dont creep around.
Other: Will share what i steal with the poor if im allowed. Likely only robbing castle type places, or shops run by arrogant and wealthy people. I will try at first to make an honest living doing of the "jobs" were allowed to do.

Build name: Necromancer
Race: Breton
Description: A very evil mage who kills anyone that looks at him the wrong way. Im not going to kill the dragons to save skyrim, im going to kill the dragons because they dont follow my orders.
Dual wields: Double destruction spells. Likely 2 of the same fire spell to utilize the using both option or something, ill have to see how that stuff actually works.
Main Skills: Destruction, Heavy Armor, Enchanting, Alteration, Average at conjuration and smithing if i decided i liked it on my first play through, if not possibly illusion or alchemy.
Perks: Those that enhance the awesomeness of my destruction magic and my ability to manipulate the world as i see fit, which includes making myself harder to kill.
Other: Hates everyone who doesnt do as i say. Might do a genocide side quest where i capture every argonians soul in a black soul gem and dump all of them in a marsh to add to the awesomeness.

Some kool ideas in this thread. Let's see my dude will probably end up something like this...

Build name: Barbarian
Race: Nord
Description: A wanderer. Prefers to fly solo, cruising the land for action. Hobbies include killing, drinking and causing general mayhem. Sometimes all 3 at once.
Weapon of choice: Two handed battle axe
Main Skills: Two Handed, Light Armor, Block and Smithing.
Perks (: Bleeding damage (axes), Quick Reflexes. Basically anything that will enhance my mighty axe and make me more agile.
Other: Hates weaklings and magic.

Build name: Ascendant (Which in my head is basically a powerful mage)
Description: Every few generations in the Vareth lineage, a child is born with a gift for controlling magic. The Champion of Cyrodil was one of these "Ascendants" and so is this character)... So basically a full-on mage character.
One odd thing is that he is Arachnophobic to the point of being Arachnocidal.

I like the genealogical element, maybe my Lady Killer will be a descendant of my oblivion character too... interesting...

Build Name: Gentleman Knave
Name: Roderick DeSand
Age: 19-24
Race: Imperial
Armor: The finest Glass, but when not engaged in battle, the stylish trappings of a nobleman
Attitude: Never without a joke or pun, his easy-going attitude masks his shrewd sense of right and wrong, and his cunning attempts to circumvent both
Perks: If Skyrim has a Lady-Killer equivalent, that's first on the list
Story: Something about illegal street duels raging throughout the Imperial City, and falling in love with a Dunmer witch who taught him both the art of Destruction and the art of sixual-intercourse, etc.

:D This build seems quite similar to mine, I'm sure some sort of Lady Killer equivalent must exist in Skyrim! I'm hoping for a Mr.Sandman equivalent too...

Dunmer "teacher" huh? You know what they say about http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Dunmer? :teehee:

Build: Druid
Description: A small, old Breton, he was given his name (which means Blue Moon) by the Orc shaman Dudulk Gro-Noc. He is feared by the public, though not to a criminal extent, and known my many aliases, such as the "Tree Talker". Is garbed in leather and earthy cloth, some bearing designs. He is bedecked in strange ornaments and trinkets for his wizardry, and carries many bags of poisons and herbs.
Main Skills in descending order: Alchemy, Illusion, Conjuration, Destruction.
Other: In a consuming quest for power, Gormgolac hunts down wizards and mages over the land. He is a patron of Vaermina and Hercine.

Druids... I love druids... let's hope for some druid-ish perks in Skyrim!

In Fallout 3, for example, the perk "Animal Friend" made hostile animals friendly, and even aid you in battle.

Great builds everyone, thanks for sharing!

But now, at age 22, with his father murdered and his sister kidnapped, he leaves Cyrodiil after learning the kidnappers/killers were last seen in Skyrim. However, he soon learns of his true power and finds himself involved in MUCH MORE than just the search for his sister.

Other: His family has revered Shor (god who created nords) just as other nords have. So, it will be a spiritual/special journey for him to climb High Hrothgar. He does not trust elves because they currently are in control of the Empire (I heard this, but not sure if it's entirely accurate), so he will have to learn to trust the elves he meets on his journey (hopefully, you can have elves as companions). His favorite food is sweet rolls, dear meat, boar meat, and salmon, but considering salmon is not to be found in Cyrodiil, he has always had to purchase salmon.

I find the "spiritual journey" to High Hrothgar very interesting, and the "learning to trust elves" part too!

But beware of Bosmer, young man, those pesky creatures will back-stab you for a sweet roll.

Build: Dragonslayer
Race: Khajiit
A primal, bloodthirsty predator.
Backstory: Having stepped into a major city only a few times, the dragonslayer has led a violent and solitary life. An ugly brawl in Windhelm leaves the dragonslayer charged with murder and thrown in jail, wandering what will happen next...
Likes: Unarmed fighting, knife fighting, his warhammer, smashing puny goblins, fighting, bar brawling, nature
Dislikes: Magic, sorcerors, cowards, dragons, High Elves, Bretons, arachnids, goblins, bandits, theives, snow on his whiskers

I like how his traits blend perfectly with his incarceration, and the fact he hates snow on his whiskers. svck a combat oriented Khajiit... too much for my Imperial to handle.

Build name: Thief
Race: Bosmer, might go imperial or redguard based on looks.
Description: A robyn hood type of thief who has respect for the poor. Pretty subpar at actually stealing things, mainly strong in the areas of sneaky combat.

I like this "sharing with the poor" idea, let's hope that's possible in Skyrim. Anyway, my Imperial Lady Killer just loves gold and women, in that order, so he wont be sharing a single coin with no starving kids.

The necromancer build is just awesome... "im goint to kill the dragons because they don't follow my orders" genius.

Really really awesome builds everyone, thanks for sharing!

Build name: Traveller/chef

Race: Breton named Goran. (G?ran) He's like adopted by a nord couple who couldn't come up with a better name than Goran on a Breton. But Goran has a secret, when he's travelling he calls him self Jean.

Description: Goran (or Jean) Travels the world trying to find his perfect town or city. And in this city/town he will open up a new restaurant named "The Fish'inn" where he both gives a place to sleep and serves delicious fish which he catch himself. Everyone wants to taste the fish, but also wants to taste Goran (or Jean). I mean, he's a Breton, they always succeed getting women (and men in Jeans case).

Dual wields: Nothing, he only uses a dagger, and with it he masters filleting fish.

Main Skills: Speechcraft, one handed, mercantile. And the rest is like random.

I sorta just didn't want to remake a last name, lol. Vareth has a meaning too, it is honoring one of the best mages in all of video games: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z50feD9SPi0

he also makes me want to be able to use books as magic enhancing weapons :P

I need advice on what Race to make my character;
The build is a stealthy character who uses the bow an dual wielded daggers primarily for stealthy take-downs, also competent in destruction spells when things get messy.
In way of defence, the character uses illusion and restoration magic to bolster health or shield damage. Also must be a cunning thief

what race should i be?

thanks

Well which class do you like to look at most? Aside from that, i think the traditional stealth classes are Khajits and Bosmers. Maybe Argonians... but idk stealth really...

Argonian, Bosmer, Khajiit or even Dunmer.

Although the attribute system has been removed, and the skills have changed, you can get a general idea of the pro/cons of all 10 races http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Races
