looks like your new to computers you might have windows 7, windows vista,windows xp,windows 2000,windows 98,windows 95,windows nt depending on how your task bar looks like and the style and color.Check youtube videos on them.

If it was bought in the past:
Year - Windows 7
3 years - Vista
6 years - Windows XP
10 years - Windows 2000
Anything earlier - To old. Please throw it out ASAP! :whistling:

unless its mac it runs windows... or Linux... but you would know if your running Linux , operating system is entirely different from the manufacturer of your computer, you will want to choose the patch with the proper operating system fro your machine so probably windows 7 and depending on how much you spent 64 or 32 bit
