What type of weapon is the Blade of Woe : V

I know it only needs arcane blacksmithing to improve and no components, but I'd like to know what "type" it is so I know how to double the improvement of it.

If I understand correctly, to bring the damage to the max I need smitthing to 100 and the appropriate perk in the weapon category, right?

If it's the same as in Oblivion then it would be a Dagger I believe. In Skyrim it's probably just labelled as One-Handed

IIRC its iron, steel or it doesn't require any material to upgrade.

Again you're missing the point.

The question is what perk to take to improve it by DOUBLE.

I took the right side of the smithing tree, I improved it to 171 damage. It doesn't relate to a blacksmith perk in the tree as its unique, you don't need any ingot to improve it.
