So here's the thing, I like the whole mentality behind Caesar's Legion but I also like to play characters who take drugs. These two things however, to me, seem pretty irreconcilable given how hardline the Legion are. Do you think a Legion character would ever take drugs? The only reason I could see for it would be because the character thought he could get away with it. Or, in a historical context, in Nazi Germany (a government I always feel is comparable to Caesar's Legion) Hitler was very disapproving of homosixuals and the disabled yet Ernst R?hm was a homosixual and Joseph G?bbels had a club foot - point being, if you became one of Caesar's higher-ups do you think he would overlook your misdeeds?
In a broader sense, what characters have you played that run counter to some of the Legion's ideals and how did you rationalise it? A common and overly discussed one is playing a woman in the Legion, but so might playing a black guy giving their prediliction for slavery (obviously not as much of an issue as racism isn't a theme in FO:NV, but still you would think any character whose race had been historically subjected to slavery might be riled by the Legion's actions). Any thoughts?
