What variable affects scope sway?

Post » Fri Feb 18, 2011 7:00 pm

I know how to add a scope to a weapon.

And I thought Spread and Min. Spread affected how "tight" a bullet went to its target.

When I set a weapon to say 0.300 for each value without a scope - it aims tightly.

But when I add a scope it now "sways" back and forth ????

What causes this affect and how do I mod it?

Thank you!

Spread is how the bullets deviate when they leave the barrel.
Sway comes from player skill.
This should've been in the GECK forum, btw.

http://geck.gamesas.com/index.php/Gun_Spread_Formula

Sway/wobble is a function of gun spread as you noted when you adjusted the numbers. Decrease spread by the entry point and you'll see the sway animation decrease and your VATS hit percentages increase. Pump it up and the animation will be all over the place.

The scope setting is fGunWobbleMultScope and is talked about at the bottom of that page.
