What verson of Skyrim did you (or will) pre-order and why?

Post » Sun Sep 04, 2011 2:16 pm

As the title says, what version are you going to pre-order and why?

For me, as my sig says, I am a 360 guy so I will get the Xbox 360 version but I am going to get the normal version. Highest amount of money I will pay for one game is $80 so $150 is too much for me for just one game and the dragon statue is something I don't really want, I always like more in-game content and that tends to be what sways me to the $80 versions of games.

I'm going to pre-order the normal PC version next week, I don't really for CE editions for any games.

Only real decision I need to make is steam or store?

XBOX 360 first.

After I've upgraded my old card with a Radeon 7xxx series graphics card, I'll buy the GOTY edition for PC and start making Mods

Normal PC version. $60.00 is pretty darn expensive as it is already, I'm not spending 150 for a statue and some other junk. I just want the game.

not pre-ordering, no real incentive to as far as I'm concerned.

I'll still be playing it on day one though, lol.

Going to get the 360 regular edition because it's the only type i can get two days before release from my local games shop (i know the owner).

Have already pre-ordered the PC Collectors Edition because it should arrive in the post a day before release.

Question -

If i have the PC version the day before release, will i be able to play it? Or will steam not let me use it until it hits midnight?

I've got the Normal PS3 version pre-ordered. As much as I love TES I just can't afford the special edition. I own bothe 360 and PS3, but I've decided to start supporting Sony in all things multiple-platform. They're more broad minded than Microsoft (note the introduction of Steamworks, or the inclusion of local TV/LoveFilm).

I know I run the risk of getting a "worse" game, but I'd rather flag a sale to PS3 so Bethesda realises there's a good Market on the PS3. If it is truly terrible I will end up buying for 360, but it'll be second hand so Microsoft won't see any money from it.

I can't see that being a problem since it's still a legal copy of the game.

I honestly don't know since I have never used Steam in my life but I remember a similar question for a 360 game and Microsoft was banning all the people that had an illegal leaked copy but people who got the game legally were perfectly fine to play it a bit early.
