Seth Rogan (Village drunkard turned sidequest hero)

I'm just laughing at the thought of Seth Rogan's laugh in Skyrim. Even his voice.

Canada represent!

I want to see...

Hugh Jackman as an imperial
Saruman/Count Dooku as an old nord
Heath Ledger (if he was still alive) doing the joker voice for argonians
the Old Spice guy as a redguard hahaha
Celeborn from Lord of the Rings as a high elf
whoever played Thor as a nord
similar voice to Morrowind for the dark elf
some unknown for a kajjit
Arnold Schwarrtzenegger as an orc
and get Mike Rowe in there somewhere!!!

Argonian : Someone who can sound like a lizard.
Khajiit : Someone who can sound like a cat.

I lol'ed.

Dark Elf : Morrowind sounding.

Was it just me who found Morrowind's actors to sound so much better, overall? Some of Oblivion's females were better, but the males in Morrowind were far superior, imo. Each race felt really distinct from the others. Though this could just be due to the actor sharing in all the races. I also HATED Oblivion's Bretons. They just sounded like blundering idiots. I liked when they sounded like scholars.

I don't want any particuarly well known actors, unless they're particuarly good for the part. i.e. Max von Sydow, absolutely yes! Likewise for actors like Liam Neeson. Tom Cruise and the like, pleas no.

I'm afraid I have a totally unfair bias against hearing American accents in fantasy. I have too many bad memories of low-budget historical and fantasy TV shows and they all had awful actors speaking in unaltered American accents. (Think Xena Warrior Princess and Adventures of Herclues.)

The mark of a good fantasy genre game or film tends to be the voice acting. I was delighted to hear Max von Sydow in the trailer. Judging by that standard, I'm delighted so far.

maybe actors doing voice cameos?

also the dude that does zero punctuation! ya...having Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw voice a npc

THIS!

Also, bring back Sean Bean into the role of a villain this time, bring back Liam Neeson (your Dad in Fallout 3), and bring back Patrick Stewart.

Terrence Stamp in the last one as Mankar Cameron was pretty awesome

Michael Holding (the Cricketer) should do the voice for Redguards - for comedy value, that would be amazing!

Maybe James Earl-Jones? That would be pretty sweet

I think someone with an incredibly strong Welsh accent to do the Orcs, not sure why but I'd find that pretty funny too

I'd rather not have celebrities personally. In a fantasy world, I don't like hearing an NPC speak and thinking "that's [insert name]"

Unknown, professional voice actors will do just fine.

The guys who did Spike's and Vicious's voices in the Cowboy Bebop dubbs.

Forget everyone else, these two with Max von Sydow could do everyone.

I would be in for "the guy who voices Stewie" (Seth Macfalrane) because he's a very talented voice actor, but I wouldn't really want to hear Peter's voice, Stewie's voice, Brian's voice (his normal every day voice), Quagmire's voice, etc...Seth is the voice of all these characters.

Will second that whole-heartedly. Don't waste valuable money for some famous voice. As long as they say something and sound like they are actually speaking it from the heart and not reading a line from a paper, then that is really good for me.

As for types... I could see the Nords having their own unique dialect or accent that differs from what we commonly heard in Oblivion. Scandinavian would be the obvious choice, but even a 'made up' accent would work as long as everyone uses it.

None?

Famous actors and actresses are a waste of money that could be better spent on more varitey of actors.

If they had the budget, I would love to hear these (voice) actors;

Keith David (as a Redguard). Jeff Goldblum (as an imperial), Viggo Mortensen (as a Nord) and Ernest Borgnine (as a grumpy old orc).

I'd like to see them pull their voice acting and music out of the public domain and spend their budget on things that matter, like gameplay and quality assurance.

Of course, it may end up costing more to have people sift through recordings of plays and symphonies and whatnot. So if that's the case, then I'd like to see them hire a multitude of drama students at low cost and simply use The Planets as a soundtrack (which is pretty much what the Morrowind theme was ripped off from. I knew it sounded like Jupiter, Bringer of Jollity).

And please, PLEASE, PLEASE don't only hire like four voice actors like in Oblivion. That was ridiculous.
