What we WANT in Fallout 4

Post » Thu Nov 26, 2015 9:41 am

I just want a barter system; there hasn't been one since Fallout 2.

http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Ripper_%28Fallout%29, or something out of Saint's Row...

I'm really hoping for more fluid combat rather than the clunky combat we had in 3 and NV.

Do you mean better shooter mechanics? (I think that would be unpopular with the RPG crowd; as the Fallout series is even today, still technically an RPG.)

I would like to see smoother melee combat; and a system that supports targeted melee, and hand to hand attacks, that actually hit the target.

Something like this should be possible with overlayed animations and realtime contraints.

(Though better of course; a real solution, not my 2 minute hasty example.)

I would like to see a faction with the leader that has extensive knowledge of history and surrounding areas because of travel and reading tons and tons of books and museums. I want the leader to understand all of the past types of governments and can see the pros and cons in them. Uses them, and modifies them for the better of the masses. He should understand that the free market is good at a level but needs to make sure no loopholes are used. He should understand people like to think they are helpful to the masses and not just a number. He should people hate taxes and instead of taxing the people like the NCR, his own system should own some companies that make jobs, competition and revenue.

All in all a semi socialist, communist, capitalist, system with just one problem is that they svck at letting things slide, and deal with bad people, in their eyes, quickly, constantly and sometimes expensively even if they don't gain much out of it unlike the NCR now and generally in the past.

I want hours of gameplay that even after so many hours (500) I'm still finding new things. I want the Fallout Wikis to take awhile to find everything and write articles on them.

Logical placement of roads. Yeah roads. It annoyed me to no end in F3. Roads shouldn't dead end into a house, nor would a building be a few inches from it either.

Smart enemy AI. You dumb raider. Are you really charging at me with a pool cue when I'm wearing power armor and have a mini-gun? Are you really looking for the Darwin Award that bad?

Exactly this many Essential NPC's: 0. If that means no kids in the Boston wasteland, then so be it.

Also, iron sights.

There will be more than just iron sights. Trailer had a laser rifle with what looked like a holographic or red dot sight.

Like others have said I would like hardcoe mode.

Crafting. I love that stuff. I love looking at what I've all got, what I want to make, what I need etc.

The Railway Rifle. I just love the sound.

More library or archive type missions.

In the Pip Boy I would like the Notes section to have more categorisation, if that makes sense. Like, a little tab for Recipes, a little tab for Recordings, etc.

Weapon upgrade system and the ability to build your own village lookin good, but it's only basis for major changes :

As you build the village , it should also be the opportunity to build their own shelter, with equipment and security , such as lock with the trap , landmines with the possibility of remote shutdown etc.

When it comes to crafting weapon upgrades from presentation ere cool , but it is not enough. It should be possible to build weapons and armor from what we find in the wastelands .

It's simple : find rusted barrel, or take it out of enemy weapons destroyed during the fighting , add revolver frame with a barrel and a trigger , I take a piece of wood and one oculaR from a broken binoculars , I USE a workshop and create with this rifle .

I found the wastelands tire , the old belt , worn leather coat , a bit of string and 2 trash covers ?

Great! I'll use the belt, the rest of the skin from the destroyed coat , this will add 2 halves tires and 2 trash covers - some work at the workshop and already have improvised armor !

I found 2 composite skis, a stick and a durable synthetic rope ? I will make this a nice bow ! If i find even a piece of solid metal (preferably leaf spring ) , and the rifle or shotgun stock that come out of this great crossbow .

So in my opinion, should look crafting system in the new Fallout . The possibility of building a small shelter was anywhere that an added plus .

- Raiding Others?

This could possibly work

Or

A lobby limit of 4 or 5 people who you could come across while exploring the wasteland.
- Teaming up with a friend
Etc.

This, has been an requested feature from me since morrowind, enemies should have some sense in then to attack or not, this might even make the game more balanced, you run into some low level raiders wearing power armor, they take some damage and start to redraw, you push on and they continue to redraw, now if this is an open base they will simply run away or redraw and start sniping at you from distance and move back home afterward. Now if you push them into an corner like top of an building or deep inside an vault they charge you all at once as they have no other option.

Just saw the announcement! Was traveling without the possibility of WIFI until today and WOW I was happily surprised!

What I really want and what I think we'll get is a huge place to discover! What I love the most with both the Fallout and TES series is that you can bump into strange, funny och scary things, which I love!

I basically just want to roam around for hours and when looking at the map realize I've barely scraqed the surface!

A full set of modding tools so that modders can fix whatever mess BGS makes of the game.

A story that makes sense and is consistent with the rules of the game world.
