What we WANT in Fallout 4

Post » Thu Nov 26, 2015 2:02 pm

I want to do it unique, so what do you want to see in Fallout 4 and why? Now, "because it would be cool" isn't good enough reason. Basically despite the fact that Bethesda's Developers are done working on it, I want them to look at this thread and say "wow they want these and give amazing examples and reasons why they should be in Fallout 5".

I wan this to be a positive thread, so DO NOT harp on the Devloper's for doing something wrong. Until you yourself create a better Fallout game, not with mods I'm talking about a full on game, then DON'T get mad at them for trying to give us an amazing game.

Focus on the positives, ignore the negatives. Or you'll never like the game.

-Damage threshold complimenting damage resistance. That sixy new power armor deserves the best.
-References to Fallout Tactics. It's been three games, damnit! It's time we learned how the Midwestern BoS are doing.
-News on the Pitt and D.C.

-Lots and lots of other stuff. But it's late and I'm sure others will cover it.

I would like a large atomic shake and a double brahmin burger, hold the agave sauce.

But anyway, I'd like to see armor modification. Why? To better implement armor variants. Say you found a leather pauldron, bandoleer and belt in the broom closet and attached to your Vault-Suit. Maybe one day. Maybe not in Fallout 4, Maybe not in TES VI, but one day.

1. I want the Institute to be exactly how I've been imagining it: sterile, slightly creepy, and a bastion of pre-war knowledge and technology completely isolated from the outside world. And I want my "Androids are actually mind-controlled humans and not robots that have bodily functions" head-canon to turn out to be correct.

2. I'd like to see more of the Abbey of the Road. Even if its just a small role.

Lots of buildings to explore, not lamely boarded up.

Weapon/armor mods

Good weather effects

An environment you can interact with. Like touch a tree limb and bend it or touch a toy rocket in a cradle like the dog did in the trailer.

Whoa....

....where to start? I will love to experience a cover system, I was tired of crouching and standing up while trying to cover. Will love to experience many ways to upgrade gear and weaponry with blue prints, scraps, etc that can be looted and converted as an item for weapons and armor. I always wonder how well the gun play can become in this series, I will love to see a really well made intelligent AI from the enemies, having the difficulty and exposure to know I am not only the one that can play smart if it comes down to take everybody with guns or grenades. Knowing that any gun can't be reliable due to the fact that is set in a post apocalyptic era, the gun can malfunction. Develop my character traits while playing by choosing the way I want to play it.

P.s. It comes to that for me... I actually will love a well crafted experience in those categories... if I charge more ideas, I'll let you know.

I am holding out hope that Three Dog's implied return in FO4 will have him remaining in the CW but giving the PC (and whoever else tunes in) some insight on whatever is going on there, like the outcomes of the canonical choices of the LW or even just some helpful PSA's. At the very least, hopefully ol' Three Dog stumbles upon some new records to play.

I know I said I was done. But I can't help it. THIS. BETHESDA. THIS. Mind controlled or brainwashed humans would solve every crappy thing there is about androids. And it would remove all of my issues with the Institute.

I saw your post of this in the other thread and agree. I'm no 3-D fan, but this is a great way to handle it.

Yeah, I sort of hate myself for reposting it but I felt it would be overlooked by a flood of new users voicing their opinions on co-op and how the graphics should, like, "totally destroy the competition, bro."

A Co-Op style, where you create both PC's and can have two people play. When not using second PC it acts like a normal follower.

I want armor and weapons degradation added again in Fallout 4 and not removed like in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

I want health to not heal by regenerative health only food, sleep, and rest.

A isometric view. This is possible at least on PC.

There are some PC versions of video games on PC that let you switch from First Person view (FPS), to Third Person view (TPS), to a RTS view like RTS video games. All on the fly inside the main video game itself no need to go into the options menu to change.

I'm wanting:

  • A good storyline that is lore-friendly.
  • More of a focus on survival over combat (needing to scrounge for ammunition, sleep, eat, drink, and manage radiation).

I'm not hopeful, though, since it looks like we're just going to get a prettier looking version of Fallout 3.

A really good G.E.C.K. program ideally one that allows for more options without having to do script extenders and such like with skyrim and FO3/NV. Basically beef up the modding tool to make it even better than before ( I'm taking it for granted that we'll get a GECK or similar tool for the PC version)

A lot of skill checks in dialogue options.

And characters with better quality hair&faces than Skyrim.

Co-Op, so I can at least play with my brother (if not more friends).

For the flashback segments of the trailer to not just be for show or a short tutorial, but a playable portion of the game given enough care to really hammer in that while war may not change, the world certainly did.

A choice right at the beginning that allows you to skip to the highest attainable level, for those (like me) who love the games but hate the time and effort put into leveling up. Game doesn't change other than the immediate concequence (and it literally says this) is that enemies are now leveled to you, and your the hightest level but first level gear.

Gender selection given that Destructoid said that it won't be in the game.

what i'd really like (and would have liked in fo3 and fnv already) in terms of factions would be some peace out hippie type bunch.

stg like the followers of the apocalypse gone flower power...

peace out... :-)
