What We Want To See In DLC (full list of my, and your ideas)

Post » Sun Nov 29, 2015 3:26 pm

Dear Bethesda,
Fallout 4 is a great game, and i love it, but now that it is out, it is time to get to work once again!
It is time for DLC! Now, first of all, before any DLC are made, please make sure you fix existing bugs in the
game. Fallout 4 should be a bug-free game and you guys should really start setting higher standards for
the company when it comes to bugs. Seriously! Every hour, on teh hour of game time, there is some mega glitch
or a crash or a sound problem or the graphics glitch out and suddenly, the trees are flickering. This needs
to be fixed. Please. Its your duty as game-makers to fix bugs because the modding community can't do
everything for you. THATS RIGHT! IM TALKING TO YOU TODD(Howard), PETE, VLATKO, THE OTHER TODD, RON!
You guys need to step your game up! I think all the fans can agree, we want to see virtualy bug-free and
major glitch free game by mid 2016! Get to work people!

Okay, now that I've got that out of my system, time to talk about what the title says, the DLC!
Basics of what we want to see:

-New MEMORABLE locations that really expand the map, adding more size, more density, new structures,
new atmospheres, and adding to the lore of the game. We also want unique locations that add a story. Not
just you regular, cheap Call Of Duty expansion packs,, but actual CONTENT! Also, this is a great opportunity do
improve the muddy textures and the look of the world. When your creating the map, try to see how you can improve
the sharpness of how everything looks. Maybe you want to improve the lighting in the area. Maybe you want to
modify how the trees look to make them stand out. Maybe the water will look a little better. Maybe you can
make the objects and new items in this DLC apear sharper and less muddy. Please take this into consideration.
I personaly dont care about graphics that much, but if you can do it, why not improve them. It will definatly
show us, the gamer community, you care about what we think. As the old saying goes,
"the customer is always right!"

- Some location ideas i saw on threads and other places were:
New York (#1)
Back To D.C. (#2)
Other Part Of New England (I.R. New Hampshire, Vermont) (#3)
Cannada (#4)
Russia (#5)
Back To The West (I.E. LA, Reno, Vegas) (#6) (Do a place we haven't been to in the west)
(this is more of a specific location i saw a few people liked on Steam) Vault 13 (#7)

-Weapons, we want more weapon! Please add amazing new, unique weapons to your next DLC and all future DLC
in general. Im not just talking about a reskined rifle with a nerf/buff. Im talking about unique weapons and
armor. Items that feature new gameplay attributes. That allow you to change up the combat style, not limited to just
shooting, throwing or hitting. How about spraying, burning, how about zapping/stunning your enemies? I
also heared some people mention they want dual weilding guns, and I would personaly like to see a railgun.
I heared one of your guys was making a mod for it. I would really like to see it in a DLC, an official
fallout weapon. There is actualy some Canon information on railguns. It was going to be a weapon but
it was cut. You cant use it. Hopefully you guys will add that in. But there are tons of more
equipment you can add to the game! New ballistic armor, or maybe armour that increases stregth/aggility and
best of all, stealth armor!

-Another thing we would like to see added is Hard Core Mode. Though not every Fallout fan likes Hard Core Mode,
alot do. We would like to see starvation, heavier radiation sickness, dehydration, and weapon/armor degridation
being added to the game in the Next DLC or maybe eve a patch. Perhaps a free DLC could do the trick with
Hard Core Mode. I know there are some mods for that, but it would be better if you added it in yourselves.
It would show us you care about the hard-core fallout community and also, not all modders make good mods.
By making a Hard Core Mode, you will be making an offical Bethesda mod/add-on of sorts that would make the game
much harder and more fun to play.It should be an uption, kind of like in New Vegas. Another great thing about
doing it yourself is that, mods sometimes make the game more buggy, but a DLC that has been made, patched,
and approved by teh company is more likley to be less buggy (though that isn't always the case as we can see
by fallout 4's bugs).

- Okay so this is a MUST-HAVE. Hear that Bethesda? A MUST-HAVE!!! We want to see memorable characters.
not soem bland old characters, with bland, scripted voice acting. We want characters that are deep. Characters
that have a good back-story to them. When they speak, they have to say everything with passion! As if
they really mean it! When a character screams of fear, the player should wnat to scream in fear as well.
When the characters are crying of sadness, we should want to cry to. And when they laugh, we should also want to
laugh with joy! These characters should tug on our heartstring every step of the way, making for a memorable
gaming experience. Also, with DLC comes the opportunity of improving the character's textures. Please
do that. You guys have to make your chracters memorable. The chracters should alos add to the lore and
should also refer to the lore. Im looking forward to seeing refrences to previouse fallouts in the game.
Please do this! It really adds to the story. I think we all can agree we want to see Three Dog in there somewhere.

-Just a note. The companions are kind of dumb. They get lost and they get stuck in places. You guys should
patch/update the A.I. so they don't get stuck in walls, walk into walls, or get in your way.
It would make the companions seem more realistic. Not just some mindless A.I. peace of junk.

-Dialogue, we want it! In Fallout 4, the dialogue was a little...different. It isn't bad, but it could use some
improvments. For startes, before we shoose an option, we should be able to see what we are about to say.
Some of the discriptions are very vague. We need to know what we are going to say before we say it.
"think before you speak" as my parrents used to say. When you hover over an option, it should give you
the option of previewing what your about to say. Maybey extend that specific choice or just
having it show you what your gonna say by displaying it above the 4 options in a subtitle-like display
in the center of you HUD when you hover above that specific option. We would also liek to see more dialogue
options. It should branch of into a whole conversation and give you new, memorable dialog options.
Like instead of just "Sarcastic," for certain conversations, you should have the "Heisenberg" option
or the "Breaking Bad" option, that alows you to say things like "Your [censored] right" and "[censored],..."
You should do what i just did, for example, and have refernces to pop culture, previouse fallout, 1950/60's
songs and things like that. Make the dialogue silly of dunny. Have mena dialogue options. Give us the power
to choose between being a good chracter, a funny character, a nuetral character, a chaotic character, or just
your good old wasteland clown! This will make the game more memorable and more fun to play.

-Good vs. Evil? How about rather than having you old Good vs Evil cliche, we take an example from fallout New
Vegas where the most faction are nuetral. In fallout 4, we do see this but we would like to have that in our DLC
as well. The power to side with multiple factions, and as for good vs evil, we should have karma that determines
that.

Finaly, i would like to add that we sill want to see the use of crafting, building settlements and things like
that in upcoming DLC. Thank you for listening Bethesda. We hope you make the DLC worth playing.

I'd like to be able to play as a Super Mutant or Ghoul, I understand the complications that could have regarding the main story, but you could always just have it abandoned and traverse the wasteland as either and make your own story.

I'd love for the Slavers to come back too!

Just a little thing. I wish that when the cursor moves over a pick-up-able item, the Loot command is significantly more obvious. I keep missing items because the on screen text is so unobtrusive.

A _big_ thing. When building things like walls, everything is at right angles and anything other than a straight ahead continuation is impossible. Make it possible to angle the next section anywhere from 0-degrees to 180-degrees from the alignment of the previous section. That would save from having to us 90-degree corners all over the place.

Medium: Create a variable filler piece to drop into two adjacent sections that are closer together than one full piece.

Medium: Make it possible to scrap items from inside the character's Inventory while working on the Workbench. Currently, I have to exit Build mode, Drop items from Inventory, Enter Build mode again, and then Scrap the loose items. Tedious.

If you guys like my ideas, share them on Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, and other social media sites. Maybe Bethesda will listen to us.

Martha's Vineyard expansion with equal parts Jaws, Jules Verne and Lovecraft influences.

So for the part that adds new land to explore like New England and New Hampshire you want a expansion pack, not DLC.

I actually like the radio station. The guy on the radio is a total wimp lol! I just wish they added more songs. It uses alot of songs from existing games (fallout 3). wish they added more new (but still 1950's) songs to it
