1. I saw a suggestion for a better land map, what I would like to see is icon changes on map, for found, explored, quest related, icon change colour, depending on
what you have done there, also add all the roads, on the Map, for OBV4 I made my own map with all the roads on, as they do not appear on the vanilla version ( also a
map magnification ability)

2. Please make the caves look like caves ^^
3. Face generator, please change the way the colours work, to say a CMYK mixer, at present in OBV, it is a huge headache (atm it is a weird RGB mixer with strange
content)
4. I saw Crossbows mentioned, :goodjob:
5. I saw workable carts mentioned here, :goodjob:
I think that about covers me and Oblivion,

Can you elaborate on your first and second and third ideas? Icons changed color on the Oblivion map too.

Alright I shall try to elaborate that idea. It is purely aesthetic unless we go the way of Baldur's Gate and have gems that can be added to weapons that give different effects, however considering Oblivion that would be pointless.
I'm talking about taking those gems that get collected on your travels and being able to put them into(i.e. encrust) weapons/swords/jewelry thus increasing price and also the grandeur of your weapons/armour/jewelry, rather than just leaving them lying around or selling them. Maybe there could be a jewel merchant, who could possibly be just a waste of space but then again the jewels are so at least they would match. But as I said the idea, much like the gems themselves, is useless and money waster but it just gives a use to the gems. Is that a better explanation or am I repeating myself? Apologies if I am.

I understand!

Ability to encrust gems found during travels into armor--ADDED

Getting people the option to get rid of points of interest in the compass (so you're not told about every cave/shack/shrine/whatever that is right out of sight, but encouraging you to find it yourself), and giving people to rely on journal notes/directions to complete quests instead of having quest markers (which often railroad you right to the next objective.)

I made a topic discussing these issues: http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1168354-having-a-toggle-for-the-compass-optional-journal-quest-notes/

Other than that I'm pretty happy as a clam. Fast travel issues are a big concern of mine, but I'd still be able to play the game and fully enjoy it, whereas these two points are my main issue.

And, if I could ask for anything and hope for it to be in the game ... making a dragon skull helm. I want the face of a dragon on my face.

Everything on compass labeled as "point of interest" before explored--ADDED

Yeah I'd like an optional return to the Morrowind map and exploration, which changed as you explored each cell... Oblivion does have a very generic "here is the location. and here is the bit inbetween" feel to it, whereas I remember that you could spend ages in Morrowind just wandering around until you obliviously walked right into some bandit's hideout. A toggleable point of interest display would be awesome.

Likewise in quests. I think the compass is a REALLY good idea, but there are some quests which have a detective feel about them, where your compass just rail roads you. It would be nice for this to be optional as well, for those quests with really generic instructions.

I was thinking about the voice acting... I think there should be some NPCS, particularly in guilds, who give you their quests with all the details on a piece of paper. So the quantity of conversations and so on to do with the game can be increased. That was really disappointing moving from Morrowind to Oblivion, that suddenly all the random NPCS have so little to say to you. And I just tended to read the information quickly and then skip to the next bit of dialogue, so the quality of voice acting was wasted on me.

apologies if this has been noted before, but one prevelant thing ive been wishing for are adaptable voices.
In OB it was terribly annoying to create a young looking Nord character only to have him sound like a 50 year old booze hound.
A preselection of possible voices would suffice,or maybe even a slider system to alter the pitch or tone of the race voice.
The character might not utter more than shouts and grunts ingame, but it would make a huge deal for immersion.

I don't think anyone has went too much into detail on trees, as in trees the giant plant things...

Cultivate, or at least re-spawning trees. Along with the ability to climb/hide in trees which was already mentioned, I'd like to see a mage be able to burn a tree or perhaps a ranger to be able to chop a tree down with an axe. Fat chance, but trees need a purpose in this game. Let's at least have them drop fruit or become actual cover.

I think that part of what made past Elderscrolls games so good (aka Morrowind) were the number of skills. With light armor, medium armor, heavy armor, short sword, long sword, blunt, spear ( I think spear needs to come back), it was almost impossible to master every single skill and a player had to choose a specialization. I think this needs to come back. Oblivion was a fantastic game, but I felt the depth of skills possible was missing and it could have been better.

What Im saying is: bring back spear and other skills to give players more choices, more specialization, and more depth!

Also I think unique items should not be leveled. It was extremely annoying how you could get a really good enchanted sword from a quest if you waited until you were level 22 but if you did the quest at level 8 you got a crappy sword that didnt do diddily squat later in the game. This just encourages people to not do quests until much later in the game

First off: I want to see a ball hammer as a blunt weapon

Second: I want an improved and realistic combat system. Basically I want things like if you have a low blade skill or strength attribute and you do a full power swing and meet a shield something like the blade slipping out of your hand happens, as opposed to just stumbling, then as your blade skill/strength goes higher you learn better how to hold on to your weapon and use it more proficiently. I also want to see stuff like if you have a low blunt skill, for example, you only know how to do one attack with your mace (bring it up above your head and bring it down on your enemy) but as your skill gets higher you learn more ways to attack (like swinging your mace from right side to left, making contact, then a returning motion from left to right to make contact a second time). I also want to see the accuracy of bows be absolutely terrible (okay, maybe not that bad, but at least a noticeable amount of failure) at low levels then become greatly more accurate as the skill gets higher, similar to real life.

Unique kill animations.

I know that's been covered. I mean animations done on YOU when you fail in a fight. I think that would be cool. Spider starts to wrap you up, wolves can join in animation of bringing you down (assuming there are more than one left when you drop), giant drags you away for a late night snack (i assume they aren't picky), etc.

Dunno if this has been mentioned. I'm to lazy to go through all the pages (went through several anyhow).
If this has been mentioned, then 'oops'.

- No more HP with it being replaced by damage to body parts instead
Why?
All that needs to be done is that when hit into the head, more HP is lost and when hit in limb, less HP is lost.
Sure, you could go into more depth with that limb damage (ie. take too much damage to legs and you will walk/run slower), but still, HP system should stay.

- Skyrim culture appropriate throwing weapons
Mother of a...
With this kind of logic we should be only able to play with Nords in Skyrim.
Will people stop with this crap about 'appropriate' stuff when we have katanas and other weapons in Tamriel.
So what if we have throwing stars in Skyrim?
From my experience with TES games I can tell that Bethesda takes real world stuff and puts them in a game on it's own special and unique way, so arguments like 'this is anime BS and will not fit' don't work.
Think outside the box for crying out loud!

- Only one boss enemy per dungeon
Why?
If it's some huge dungeon, it could have more of them.
Not that it has to, but see no reason why not.

- Rare instant kills, affected by luck and agility stats
O... M... F... G...
This is one of the worst ideas I've ever seen!
NO!
I don't have anything against instant kills, but make them skill based, not luck.

Anyway, what I want is that something is done with that bloody fast travel and pointer on compass.
Also, I would like to see Necromancer's Guild and an ability to become a lich and see http://the-elizabethan-era.wikispaces.com/file/view/rapier_sword.jpg/102247717/rapier_sword.jpg and http://www.swordsofmight.com/images/products/detail/Green_Destiny_Sword.1.jpg as one of the weapons.
So, what I want is:
- Necromancer's Guild and an ability to become a lich.
- A Morrowind-like fast travel alternative to Oblivion [censored] fast travel.
- Option to remove pointer on compass that shows us where to go and make NPC give us more info about the quest instead so we can find our way, just like in Morrowind.
- Chinese sword and rapier for weapons.

Also, my dream is also to work for Bethesda one day. :tes:

I want an Archivist. When playing an Elder Scrolls game you accumulate alot of papers like letters/handwritten notes, deeds etc. It would be nice if there was a quest involving a bookseller that offers to archive all of these because of how important your character becomes to the region's history. And you could go back and look at them at any time.

I think maybe in the guards' quarters there should be an armoury where all additional weapons (if any) are kept when they sleep or are not in use.
How about wigs and fake beards/moustaches? Just for a wheeze.

Less suicidal/blood thristy enemies.

If I rode through a forest every enemy that spotted me would follow to the end of the world. This ment that I had to get off the saddle and kill everything. It was boring and annoying. Lucily there were a mod to fix this.

Better hotkey system for console players (radial menu from mass effect is a great example compared to the d-pad hotkeys of oblivion and fallout 3). It's difficult to properly select items placed on corners of the d-pad.

NO FREEZING! Lots of games have bugs and technical problems, but most of them don't freeze your system. Bethesdas games however, are notorious for them! They have a new engine so they should fix it this time!

More Variety of Sea and Water Creatures...

In morrowind we had Slaughterfish, Small Slaughterfish and Dreugh, then eventually Horkers. In oblivion i think we just had Slaughterfish. i want a damn shark or sea serpent or epic boss monster like a dragon down there in some deep depths of underwater places.
