What We Want To See In Skyrim

I'd like the game to come with the complete range of language translations, vocals and subtitles - like the enhanced edition of The Witcher. Makes for a really fun way to learn a different language.

More unique and original creatures, less standard fantasy beasts.

ADDED

I'd like to be able to quickly scroll through long inventory lits on the console version (not sure if this was also an issue on pc).

Quick scrolling through inventory with bumper buttons/shortcut key--ADDED

Many good suggestions there. I have my own but I won't tell. But to be honest, no matter how many good ideas that users post, I hope no game developer will ever let their fans decide how a game is to be. It would only become an incoherent mess... besides, people have different opinion on what a "better mainquest plot" could be. People can see the same thing, but experience it differently (is that even a word?).

It isn't all about storyline, i believe there are things in Oblivion that are easy fixes that we can all agree on, such as the ability to zoom in on world map, more voices for characters, etc

Translations is already on there i believe

It just said have the game be translated into more languages, which could just mean the French version only sold in France, the German in Germany etc. The Witcher comes with ten language packs included. Plus subtitles for all languages.

Be nice to see translations done in non European languages too. I'd seriously like an option to play in Standard Chinese. And just think how much dosh Beth could make selling the game in China ;)

Yeah, sure. I can agree upon that. All I'm saying is that the same thing can be percieved differently by different people.

But seriously, I think that if the fans have more influence on a developer, the game can only become worse as it will only be a dream for those who are heard. Those who aren't heard, will only be left with a nightmare that conflicts mostly everything they wanted it to be. And if that ever happens, a developer could lose half of their fanbase. The fans will always be somewhat torn in opinions, and letting the developer conclude the game on their own is for the best.

But that's just my opinion.

I changed it to in game option to choose language or something!

One of the items on the list, cool sneak jump on animation attack just got confirmed, so it shows Bethesda does listen to the fan base. Also, it's not like i'm ruling out anyones ideas.

I disagree for Oblivions first person style and ability to go to third person...i would say Mount & Blade. It would work perfectly, and would be stupid k$sh br0.

With some tweaking of sensitivity would work really well on a console AND on pc's.

I prefer the first person style.

1. But how do you know that wasn't something they had already planned like a year ago, or more, and just decided to tell us recently?
2. How do you know they got that idea from their fans and not something they concluded themself, some time ago or recently?
And yes, those qustion are maybe a little unreasonable and harsh.

Besides, my point earlier wasn't about wether they should listen to their fans or not, it was about how much influence the fans were to have on them (Bethesda), or any developer for that matter. Small things like a simple animation that is specific for a certain type of playing isn't the same like deciding how the travel system in Skyrim will be. For example: Fast travel or transport service is more affecting of the game in general, because fast travel allows the gamer to go anywhere at any point with no problem, a transport service means that the gamers have to do things after a certain rule and that's it... unless they want to run all over the place all the time which would be time consuming.

I for one, probably won't see that animation you mentioned because I never play as a stealth character, and if I do, it's only after playing through the game an X number of times. How the travel system will be, will affect me each and every time I play the game, because it will be something I will have to rely upon. That small animation isn't something I will rely upon.

I am not implying they got the idea from the forums, but it shows that we are like minded people and both understand the faults of the game. I believe that small things like animations are important because eventually they add up to take a game from great to legendary..

No it's not. By extinguishable lights I mean that it's possible to extinguish any light in the game - like candles, wall torches, fires and lanterns. Not just ones that the pc happens to be holding.

See http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=14761

All very useful for stealth characters and makes things much more immersive.

So now you're contradicting yourself? But I do agree with you when it comes to small details (no matter where they may come from), they can help make the big picture itself better.

I want the option to deal with secret "good and bad" organizations(something that lets you customize new weapons or spells even more to fell unique!!) not the necromancers, etc. Preferably after you beat the game or reach a certain level that way it will determine your true good or bad will!!

I'm going to give you one of the ones I've found that are not named on your Map.

See the lettering under Winterhold westward along the coast.

No, I'm saying this not because there was an official announcement. This was my detective work, although it didn't take a long time.

The Winterhold Entry: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Winterhold

Winterhold (sometimes called Winter Hold) is the capital of the namesake county and a coastal fortress, located on the northeastern tip of Skyrim. Somewhat isolated from the rest of Nord culture, but still wealthy and influential, it is known as one of the Old Holds. Due to its proximity to Morrowind's border, Winterhold is heavily affected by Dunmer ways and ideas, fueling part of its economy. It contains the Ysmir Collective, and the well-known College of Winterhold. The ruins of Saarthal are closeby.

I have the unmarked map and if you blow it up a bit you can make out the lettering "Saa" at the very least. It isn't rocket science.

I haven't had the desire to go through and google all the places on the two maps I have and then compare to the one taken from the video.

I want to add that I want the option to be able to create your own faction and have either jobs or religious fanatics etc. Another thing I would like to see somewhat is the option to open your own store and sell your own stuff at ever changing rates according to what you keep in your store and with that some sort of more housing option maybe build your own house on land you can purchase in the woods?? Along with many other things that randomly pop in my head while I still play TESO constantly!!
