What We Want To See In Skyrim

No deff not Fable!! Have the option to work the shop or hire some workers, be able to update your shop interior/exterior as your mercantile skill levels up (granted they have it still). I just hate that I have expensive daedric armor and get crap for it and then after awhile money truly means nothing and I hope that they could put something in the game to accommodate that such as building a house for you that gets weathered etc. Also maybe be able to create your own "beasts" with the conjuration skill, combine two creatures together?

More rare (good) armor/weapons. For example, very, very, few bandits should run around in a full set of glass armor, no matter what level you are in. Make the bandits more skilled at fighting instead of giving them good armor/weapons.

I don't know if im even typing this into the right box and what not seeing as how this is the first forum i've ever gotten into on the internet but i got on here to say that horses/mounts should have bags to store stuff and i'll probably be posting this idea on other threads that this idea fits into thier catagories (tell me if that is not allowed btw O_O) but it's something i want really bad also clydesdale horses and a energysword from halo although im not going to hold my breath on that last one :3

Horse mounts--ADDED

Sorry, but an energy sword strays a little far from TES. If someone else mentions it, i'll add it.

I want to add that I want the option to be able to create your own faction and have either jobs or religious fanatics etc. Another thing I would like to see somewhat is the option to open your own store and sell your own stuff at ever changing rates according to what you keep in your store and with that some sort of more housing option maybe build your own house on land you can purchase in the woods?? Along with many other things that randomly pop in my head while I still play TESO constantly!!

Isn't a shop already on there? I'll check..

I'm guessing you made the map. And do we actually work in the shop or just get income? Because I really feel like we're going more fable :(

Presumably you could man it yourself, with a contract type of thing so you're not wasting time. You could hire employees to work for you, though they'd be expensive, with the more expensive ones netting more profits but also being difficult to afford.

They've already said there is no combining spells. I'll add upgradable to the shop description.

ok thank you for replying :3, and i've been playing oblivion and i ran across a certain book "the mystery of talara v3" and in there a character uses a spell that shoots a ring of fire outwardly, think about it i'd like that but not like a wall that pushes the enemy just puts them on fire and the same could go for the other two elements and plus it's in the lore already so, bonus! one last thing tho when you put that horse mounts thing that meant that the storeable option part of it right? (im not trying to nit pick but that is the number one reason i sent a email to bethesda and then got referred to here)

If you look at the map closely I don't understand how someone can possibly say it looks smaller or not as good as Oblivions. The map looks absolutely stunning! And packed full with huge areas to explore. I'm excited to explore Skyrim far more than Oblivion

The small confirmed information I have read in the Game Informer has me happy enough. I'm tired of all the pointless speculation; the game has to practically be done for them to give a specific release date. So just sit back and enjoy the information Bethesda throws at us :)

a few things like light things on fire, have combat more like demon's souls and wear a ring on each finger sound bad to me, (everyone would have to look like an idiot wearing 8 to 10 rings to get all the bonuses, the ability to choose which finger would be nice though).

You sound like a very negative person. This is the consensus of what the fans want to see in Skyrim, and if Bethesda listens to half these options the game will be much better. So unless you're a Big Rigs fan or something, GTFO.

Yeah, it looks much more varied

I deleted the latter, number one has been confirmed already, and i just realized that. Number two is an example of combat excellence Bethesda should strive for...

What developers will do is make wonderful game, no doubt.
What I want from Skyrim is the game stability to be equal to that of Morrowind and not that of Oblivion.
Heavily modded Morrowind - 1 CTD in 3 years.
Heavily modded Oblivion - 1 CTD every 5-6 hours. If I am lucky.
Developers, make Skyrim CTD proof!

The "rare screenshots" had to be removed due to forum rules. To see them, simply buy the February issue of Game Informer!

Quick autobiography about me: I'm an Elder Scrolls junkie who loves ES lore and aspires to work at Bethesda!!

THINGS WE WANT TO SEE IN SKYRIM
Feel free to post your own ideas! I WILL put them up!

Also feel free to vote out ideas!

So far we have a list of 51 things we'd like to see in Skyrim

LIST

- Better character movements/faces/facial expressions

- More detailed, varied, mesmerizing combat such as Demon's Souls's

- Less generic caves

- Larger map and more quests than Oblivion

- No more repetitive tasks (closing oblivion gates)

- More character voices--More quantity over quality, hundreds of voice actors

- More unique characters

- Continuation of amazing lore

- More exciting spells

- More unique geographical features

- Less repetitive quests

- More unique enemies

- Modification tools on console versions

- Realistic mountain hiking/trekking (In Oblivion it took forever and looked unrealistic)

- Cool jump-on sneak attack with stronger enemies being able to counter and pummel you--CONFIRMED

- Quicker console loading

- More unique loot

- More houses

- Torch replaced with lantern which you need lantern fuel for

- Ability to light things on fire--CONFIRMED

- More discrepancy in weapons

- Ability to zoom in on world map

- Better written main quest

- More detailed side quests

- Better third person view/gameplay

- More varied cities with noticeable enviorments

- Ability to use random items as weapons. Hit someone with shovel? Throw vase?

- Ability to arrange furniture in house properly, and add some of your own.

- Upgradable player owned shops, with contract type shopkeeping, or expensive employees to hire. Presumably, the more expensive the employee the higher profits they would net, with the player having the option to reject or haggle offers

- Optional "hardcoe mode" (having to eat food/hunt for self well being)

- Realistic behavior of animals, such as hibernating during colder months

- Conflicts between different factions/guilds

- Ability to delete spells

- Vampires and werewolves

- Ability to wear a ring on each finger

- More wild animals such as squirrels, foxes, rabbits

- More fantasy creatures such as Guars and werewolves

- More weapons such as Polearms and crossbows

- Town economy system-- CONFIRMED

- Guards that look different, ability to see their faces

- A more realistic atmosphere (clouds, sunset, etc)

- Unique art and Nordic architecture

- In game ability to choose language

- Key ring to hold keys

- Quick scrolling through inventory with bumper buttons/shortcut key

- More original creatures

- Extinguishable lights

- More factions

- More unique weapons and armor

- Horse mounts with inventory options, with a penalty to horse speed

- No more bandits/common enemies with expensive, leveled armor

- M'aiq The Liar

More wild animals! like squirrels and rabbits and the like. all we had in oblivion was deer, mountain lions, wolves, and bears. I want to be able to look up into the trees and see a squirrel jumping from branch to branch, or at least a rabbit running away from me when it senses my presence.

I hope im not off topic, but as this thread is extremely vague i would like to add my $0.02.

The map in oblivion was huge in my opinion. Why make it bigger? Of course this is just because i seldom use fast travel. This is why i dont care for the improvement in size of the map especially when its done to caiter to people who abuse that system extensively.

Did you ever look at the scale of the mountains? Skyrim is a mountainous region. If we want the mountains to be actually large and wide, we'll have to make the map bigger. Not only that, did you bother noticing that there was a cave/ruin/fort every two feet? The map was absolutely cramped..

I posted this in another thread, but:

What I would like more than anything is the return of something we haven't seen since Daggerfall, namely captured souls having specific qualities. For example, in DF when you captured a vampires soul in a soul gem, anything enchanted with it automatically had life steal (did not want to use it on armor). This made searching for specific creatures very interesting. There was so much more strategy to soul trapping in that game and I have been hoping for a return to it for years.

Lore consistency (you already have more lore)

Interactive active spell making rather than buttons and numbers

Farming smithing, woodcutting, etc etc are already in

I've noticed people mentioned climbing a bit, which I think would be great.

(Maybe check my post out if you agree/want to share some opinions and ideas, not trying to steal viewers.) http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1164008-environment-interaction/page__p__17108535#entry17108535

love the list btw, agree with pretty much everything. Be great if bethesda laminated this and tryed to make as much of work as possible. Also, very interested in how armor customisation goes (anyone read the (strangely named) 'piecemental armor' thread? Interesting).

Personally would like to see: Ability to choose (within defined/appropriately determined options) where weapons can be sheathed on your person. EG, do you want two, single-handed blades strapped as an 'X' across your back, and not at your waist? A dagger attached to your boot? Or a skinning knife attached to your jerkin? Etc.) This way you can customise a really bad ass looking mofo, with animations made to draw these weapons out. :toughninja:

I Didn't see this in the list so I'll suggest it, if I just didn't see it I apologize.

Not having every single guard in the game know when you commit a crime in one town.

Ex. make it so that you commit a crime in one town, guards in another town don't automatically know you what you did on the other side of Skyrim, have it take time for the word to spread, which can be dependent on severity of the crime & distance to the town.
