So what was it like your first time...

...fighting your first dragon, Mirmulnir?

Nothing can beat that first fight. Not knowing what to expect, having never fought a dragon before. Hearing The One They Fear start to play as that giant lizard starts to tear up the watchtower with dragonfire. It felt so epic charging into his face, greatsword in hand when he lands, right face to face with him.

Now as I've killed too many dragons to count, they're just tedious. Unless a Revered/Legendary/Serpentine shows up--which is pretty rare--I just feel it's a chore. Especially when they attack towns (Dawnstar is the WORST with dragons showing up just as I fast travel there.)

What did you guys feel fighting your first dragon ever?

It was invigorating and intense, yet scary at the same time. It was my first time, so of course I was afraid, but once I got used to the feeling of it, I realized I could do this all the time.

I now do it on a regular basis, but remember this: always wear protection (armor; what did you think I was talking about???)

I died. Multiple times.

It was an awesome feeling, especially when I finally won. I was torn between watching him fly about and trying to hit him with ineffectual arrows. When he finally landed and I was able to duel wield, I felt truly heroic.

There was nothing like taking down a dragon! An intensity no other game could deliver.

Hearing their roar from afar while I'm out exploring or traveling gave me a feeling of fright and intensity that nothing else has been able to deliver. I quickly stop what I'm doing and look toward the skies hoping to spot the beast before he spots me. Then I crouch behind cover and try to figure out whether the dragon is just passing over and doing a fly by or if he's going to be looking for an epic battle between the two of us where only one of us comes out alive. I begin to ready all my best weapons. Make sure I have the correct enchanted sword for whether it's a fire or ice breathing beast. Make sure my best armor is strapped up and my helmet is on tight. I ready my bow and pull an arrow from it's quiver, drawing it back as I point it at the hovering goliath. Swiftly drawing and letting one arrow go right after the other trying to inflict as much damage as possible before he realizes where it's coming from. The dragon spots me as I let my last arrow fly. He opens his mouth and unleashes a fiery hell as I jump behind a rock for cover. I peak up to see where he's at and the angry brute shouts another blast of fire at me, trying to soften me up before he touches ground. The earth shivers and the ground beneath my feet quakes. The monstrosity landed. Dirt moves and gravel flies on every step he takes. He's inching closer on what he hopes will be his next meal while I hold close to the rock, the only thing standing between me and him while I try to quickly devise my next move and plan how to send this fire-breathing demon back to the abyss. I'm all out of arrows so I ditch my bow. Nothing but my sword now. Nothing but a sharp blade with a mediocre frost enchantment to send this beast back to the grave. Now's my chance, the dragon is grounded waiting for me to reveal myself. Behind this rock stands glory or death. I unsheathe my blade, lunge over the rock, shield up and blade forward I charge the dragon and shout as loud as I can hoping all the Gods can hear me.

Nothing like taking down a dragon.

I like killing dragons, i don't find it tedious. They make good archery practice since they are so freakin hard to hit because they are constantly moving even with slow time zoom archery.
