What was your favorite information from the Game Informer ar

Dragon Shouts, also known as Thu'um. Kind of in two parts: one, that I get to use Thu'um as a skill and roleplay as a Thu'um user; two, that the game is going to delve into the lore surrounding Thu'um as a main element of the story.

Same for me; I'm surprised it took this long for someone to say it.

The new leveling system sounds like something they really thought through and I like the idea :)

Shadows.

I kid you not. Not saying I thought everything else svcked, I'm just more excited about shadows. Sue me.

I actually fist pumped when I read about the dynamic shadows. Nothing else evoked that reaction from me. :foodndrink:

i liked the look of the ruins - So i'm going to go with Architecture of the game (Riverside looked pretty decent from what we saw too)

I beleive that is actually a city; look at how big it is. The article mentions that since Skyrim is the birth of humanity, the cities and ruins will look like people have lived in them for thousands of years.

I'm torn between shadows and the new leveling system. Although, I don't count perks as part of the new leveling system. I'd rather chose those at the start of the game.

Mammoths.

I read that there are mammoths in the game. Do they mean these guys?

If so, AWESOME!

I love how the nature and the landscape looks! It seems to be very unique. Just look at the steep mountains with waterfalls and the amazing looking ruins and all the details. I was bored at how monotonous it looked in Oblivion, but this makes me very exited.
But its hard to say what thing that makes me most exited. Also the AI looks promising. And more voice actors!!
Hm but I will have to choose one thing? Then it gotta be the mammoths! Especially if they can be mounted :celebration:

The civil war sound awesome, I really hope they make it very morally gray. Every faction should have good guys, bad guys and mostly guys who are neither. All should be basically trying to increase there own power, some hiding behind the right to throne through bloodline other hide there expansionist goals behind ideology or religion or something. It can be a great setting for a game, with people dragged into a conflict they rather would have avoided. If they do it right this might be my favorite piece of information.

The graphics of course are absolutely great as well. I heard there is dynamic shadows and flowing water. The environments look very good (though still very earth like) and especially the ruins and things (though we have seen very little of that, it still looked great).

Haven't read the part about combat yet, but what I hear about more fast and stuff is probably very cool, dual wielding and sprinting is nice as well.
Creatures look cool (especially those Ice Wraiths), though they aren't the most unique so far, we haven't seen most of them (I guess), I'm still hoping for those awesome Ice Vampire things described in that book about vampires in Oblivion (though that are NPC's instead of creatures.)

The quests based/changed/affected by your previous actions, hopefully choices and consequences, though the example of the sister of the guy you murdered giving you the same quest but being angry about it sounds is not that good, hopefully they just gave a somewhat weird example with the actual system making more sense. More realistic conversations, without zooming in and stuff is great.

are you kidding I can't chose

I like ALL that I saw/read, omg I can't chose, its like asking God for a something to make your life a little easier and you end up getting a whole universe to you own liking, its like :

me: God please give me patience to put up with negative people.

God: how about i make a universe especially for you where you are emperor and you can do pretty much whatever you want, and people respect you to the point of worship.

me: OK

that's what Skyrim is to me a perfect gift.

now give game-play trailer :P (such greed I know)

That's hard.

If I'm right about the Dragon Shouts being why Tiber Septim was so good at Thu'um, then maybe that. Wait, maybe it's this new perspective on the secret origins of the Blades. No wait, maybe it's the two hands/two options gameplay. No wait. maybe it's the revamped leveling system. No wait, maybe it's the Radiant World, no wait, maybe it's the no more creepy face zooming in dialog. No wait, I really can't pick.

They were confirmed to be in?

In the GI article:
Spoiler
Saber-toothed cats, wooly mammoths, and elk wander freely through the same wilderness populated by towering giants, lumbering frost trolls, and terrifying snake-like ice wraiths that float along the frigid air currents.

Now that I think about it, probably the new character models.

TES has always been pretty good at immersion, but the character models were always a little stale. That picture of the woman in the tavern is just AWESOME looking. From what I've seen so far, it's shaping up to be MUCH more realistic this time around.

Is it pathetic that I could literally cry with joy? It feels nerdy...but if feels.....right.

Mine too. By far the addition of woodcutting, mining, smithing and cooking. Don't get me wrong I've been loving everything I've heard but I literally jumped for joy at this news. I mean just look at my sig for what is IMHO the best mod ever and you will understand. Best part is now we have in game mechanics to base Craftybits on and that means we won't have to spend four years in beta trying to get it to mesh with the game engine. It's the best news us Craftybits members could have ever gotten.

The perks too may prove useful when adding other crafting systems to Skyrim so...yeah, 2012 will be a spectacular year for BG modding.

This is actually the biggest thing for me too. If the game has dynamic shadows on ALL objects and not just some.

The death of the old leveling system is a big plus for me. It's probably the thing that made me the most happy in the new information.

So hard to choose.
I'd have to say dynamic shadows, real snow, unique landscapes, unique dungeons.
All of those.
