You're just charming aren't you. Probably the Frank Horrigan boss fight.

Ghost Town, The Glow and Golgotha were amazing experiences that had the perfect eerie feel to them.
They felt horrifying the first time I went to them.
The Glow with it's immense radioactive danger and it's dead corridors.
Golgotha with bodies on stakes, a mass grave of those with bad luck.
Ghost Town... Not gonna spoil it.

Fallout 3 was my first of the series and probably the most memorable moment of the series for me has been in that game; this is probably a cliche and predictable but the most memorable moment for me was the first time I left vault 101. They did a really good job building to that and capped it with an astounding view. I felt like the training wheels came off and the immense size, danger and beauty of the waste all hit me at the moment. I remember feeling overwhelmed in both good emotions and bad emotions. The rest of the game never comes close to reaching that high water mark again, but that definitely had me hooked for a couple hundred hours. In a way it was unfortunate for the game to hit that note that early on as it was probably the most memorable in comparison to the rest of the game.

Arriving near dead at the Arlington cemetery in FO3 at dusk. Not spectacular in any way I know. No dead bodies, fights, gore, blinking special effects or anything.

But walking through the gravestones you simply know that "War never changes".

Watching Cass get turned into a pile of goo by Jean-Baptise Cutting with Johnny Guitar playing in the background. It was a lapse of judgement on my part, bringing her to the Silver Rush. I never completed her quest, nor did I go back and reload to save her. It was such a powerful moment, I had to live with it. How gaming should be.

Moments like that are what separate New Vegas from Fallout 3.

My most memorable moment would probably be sneaking into the Legate's Camp armed with only a Stealth Boy and an Anti-Matieral Rifle. I found a good vantage point and set up a couple hundred yards from Legate Lanius and ended his life with one shot to the dime. The way he threw his hands up and fell back were so realistic. The impact of the bullet threw his body completely off the cliff and I never found it.

Also going through The Divide for the first time, anxious of the epic and challenging battle that waited for me at the end only to end up allying with Uyesses and fighting off all the Marked Men. That was a truly epic battle. My courier would had never survived the battle with Uylesses and only managed to walk away and shape the Mojave because of him.

The first time I played Fallout 3, my game screwed up and I ended up activating a vertibird trigger. At level 2.

Retaking the Purifier.
Killing the overseer in Fallout 1 with bloody mess.
Fighting the Behemoth outside GNR.
Blowing up Megaton. (Just for the cool look of it. I usually disarm the bomb, but the explosion was memorable.)
Finding T-51b armor during You Gotta Shoot em in the Head.
Riding in a vertibird with the BoS after air striking the AFB.
All interactions involving Desmond Lockheart.
All interactions involving Lanius.
All interactions involving Elijah.
All interactions involving Joshua Graham.
Leaving Zion. The shaft you walk through looked really cool IMO.
And Cass's Quest.

Not really a definite moment, but those are my favorites.

Getting power armor in Fallout 1. This was amazing. When I first time started a game I died in Junktown because I didn't paid the Doctor. Second time when I explore the Wasteland; 150 days weren't enough. Third time-> Khans. Many many deaths later I helped a guy who got problem in Hub. I couldn't defeat people who make him prisoner so I run to Hub police to get help. Green armors helped me only because one of bandits didn't hit me but one of guardians. After that, Brotherhood gave me suicide mission. I did it . I made everyone happy. And finaly I get an item which can help me save my people.

Many years later I heard about very inteligent man called Ulysses. He reminds me... myself? Yeah, he wanted to blow things I love up because... he wish to learn from every fail. He was so focus on his past the forget about what is his philosophy is trully about. This story is tragic on every way. Courier destroyed the Ulysses world and thats why "Odyssey of two men" was born. They met each other many times but never seen their faces. Primm, Sierra Madre, Big Empty, New Caanan and finally Divide. Courier from that moment learn something usefull. He/She must change future of Vegas because he/she can. People can change like Joshua Graham did. There is no way to Begin Again. Old World Blues... You cannot forget what you did but you must focus on present and the future. Lesson from New Vegas.

Starting Fallout 2. Every time I do that, I feel warm and fuzzy.

Ha! That was one of my favorite onetimers too, because it meant FNV arrived.

Meeting Mobius for the first time.
Meeting Joshua Graham for the first time.
Meeting Ulysses for the first time.
Getting out of the Sierra Madre in my first DM playthrough because I svcked so bad at it the first time. I was so frustrated, I died countless time. And finally being back in the Mojave felt so good.

The behemoth was indeed a good moment. I had picked through all the super muties and arriving there I thought I was finally safe. God was I wrong. XD

The moment I got my first vault-suit after completing the trials somehow was a good moment for me as well. Sure, I sold the thing as soon as I could in the next town but it was still a good moment.

And for some reason I got really impressed by vault city. It just left an impression on me.

dam its so hard picking 1 moment. i'll compromise with you op and pick 2 moments.

first one was the ending to fallout 1. God my heart sank when the overseer told me i wasn't allowed back into the vault. I did all that, BEEN THOUGH HELL AND BACK only to be rejected from my home. And this was before youtube and fallout wiki and i was a kid so i had no idea things would workout for the Vault Dweller. but Dammit.. You can feel that deep loneliness. Just seeing the Vault Dweller walk into the wasteland while "Maybe" plays in the background. amazing, freaking amazing.

second moment was entering Ceasar tent for the first time. I remember it because it was raining when New Vegas barely came out. i was drinking hot chocolate coffee and eating a cinnabon while listening to Benny talk about all the factions in New Vegas, but this time hes passionate about every single word that comes out of his mouth. when i was done talking to Benny i listened to Ceaser talk about his legacy and all the [censored] hes been though. its a great tale if you look deeply into it

What is your problem?

Ontopic:
Hmmm... one of the moments that sticks out most is meeting John Henry Eden for the first time as well as the whole of raven rock
Fallout: Was going to the cathedral for the first time and the master.
Fallout 2: Vault 13
Fallout New Vegas: Talking to Mr house for the first time.

Have only played Fallout 3 and New Vegas. I tried the first game, but I couldn't get into it. I blame new video game systems, hd. etc. its ruined going back to old games for me. sad

Anyways, my favourite moment was the first time I saw a super mutant in fallout 3. I was scanning the area through my scope, and then all of a sudden a huge orangish green chest with armor blocks my entire scope view. I had a 'wtf is that!' moment, and I started running away really fast lol also found out in that moment how awesome bottlecap mines are as they took out most of the mutants that were running after me. Only had to gun down the last super mutant, while we both had little health left. Hell of a fight. That was my first 'wow' moment with the series.
