What is/was your favorite moment in any of the TES games?

the beginning? I don't know if it's just me, but every TES I've played, the very first time you're introduced to the world, I just feel this incredible feeling of excitement, everything is yet a mystery, and you got countless adventures ahead of you. The first time you take in the atmosphere of the game I guess.

Just looking at the Ghostfence and thinking about what it is is humbling for me. Everything in Morrowind was so poignant.

I also loved finishing The Ultimate Heist and having that moment of thinking "wow, I really just did that." Oh, and pretty much any and every scene with Martin, but mostly this quote: "What matters is that we act. That we do what's right when confronted with evil." Ooh, Oblivion was written so well.

The moment I got my first stronghold. I was Hlaalu. I had no idea I would get my own house as a reward. I had been camping out in a shack in Seyda Neen before moving it all to Caldera where I was squatting to be near the creeper. After much long waiting I was informed that my stronghold was ready, so I walked from Balmora, down the path to Rethan Manor, and opened the doors and was greeted by my retainers. I was home.

I didn't care that Caldera was more convenient. I moved in right away. And then I decided to mod my stronghold, because I wanted to make it even more a place of my own. I added a basemant with a hidden grotto full of waterfalls, a private chapel, a storage room, and a modest library in the front room, among other things. I was forever hooked on Morrowind from then on.

My favorite moments now are pretty much every time I write a complicated script, and it finally does exactly what I intended it to do after hours of fixing bugs:

- The first time my kitchen cook offered me the right meal at the right time, and then refused to give me any more until dinner;

- The first time my tower elevator moved smoothly between all floors;

- The first time my mistress ran away with another wizard;

- The first time I successfully turned the entire Telvanni council into rocks and they begged me to change them back again :evil:...

I've only actively played Oblivion so my moments will be from there -
Fulfilling Sanguine's quest. It was unexpected that it was lulzy. I'll always remember that quest.
Hearing Camoran speak while you were traversing Paradise and the final monlogue when you come face to face with him. It was surreal but epic. The whole experience was awesome.
Oh, can't forget Beewos' response at the Shrine of Sheogorath. The only time I think I laughed out loud while playing the game.

Without doubt the beggining of the game for me.

I always try to savour the beggining of any game because it's always full of mystery and excitement. I'd been waiting for oblivion for ages and when it came a little wee slipped out. So I shove it in the Xbox and get through the tutorial, not overly excited but hey, it's the tutorial. Then I get out and i'm greeted by a stunning, bright world that I get to explore. So I (unknowingly) head north and it starts getting dark as i'm heading north. I get chased by wolves but manage to fight them off. I get scared so head to the nearest house which was Applewatch farm (can't remember the exact name, haven't played in ages but it's the one west of Bruma). I talked to the first friendly face of the game and then I killed her, i'm not quite sure why though haha.

Sadly, the effect of mystery wears off but it hooked me so much that I accidently had to call my friend who I was going to meet up with later that day to tell him I couldn't make it.

i sort of liked the moment in KotN where your floating up above the imperial city.... first time it happened to me i was like "hmm, a loading screen? WTF?! ooohhh....nice view." :blink:

I hated it because i didn't know if i was going to fall all the way to the ground.
