The great world design: That natural arch with the city on top is fantastic!

By far, I am most stoked about the stealth kills. The revamped archery is an extremely close second-place.

I've been going through the video frame-by-frame just to see what I can pick up, and the detail on all the NPCs, armor, weapons and stuff is just beautiful, it's all so immersive!

I've been rewatching the trailer now pausing during every new environment to see anything else that pops out and its really just all the little things they seemed to have added/fixed. I hope we get a video sooner than later showing or demonstrating conversations, because they apparently are going away from the whole "pause-the-game-and-talk-to-this-character" method and have more of a natural feeling where people in the background are still moving around and doing their thing while you're talking to an NPC. That's the only little thing that bugged me about Oblivion and Fallout was the conversations, but I could never really think of a solution so I just let it go...hopefully they have found a successful alternative!

The parts with the dragon were nice, but I think my favorite part of that was actually where the flying dragon's shadow fell over the player. It really captures the "Oh crap." feeling of having a dragon descend from the sky to attack you. It was also nice to get a look at what Bethesda is doing to improve the spell effects and combat animations, in the bit where an enemy gets hit in the head with an ax there's a much stronger sense of impact than we might see in Oblivion's combat, and the cities and environments in the trailer all looked pretty nice, though what impressed me most I think was the one where the windows of a building seem to actually be glowing, the use of the music was good as well, I wonder if it's the full version of the same Skyrim theme we've already heard or if it's a different version made specifically for the trailer, though, I'm hoping it represents what we'll actually hear in the game myself. Honestly, the only thing in the trailer I can really say I DIDN'T like was the water.

I'm with Selbeth on this one.

On a more specific note, I must comment on the shadows. Those were the crispest, clearest, least blocky shadows I've ever seen in the console version of any game. Can they really be that good? I think they look incredible.

I'm sure most people on this board are like me and have watched the video 10,000 times by now. I just watched the IGN breakdown of the video and noticed some new things for the first time. Of all the many things that I liked in the video I have to say that my favorite thing, without question is the short clip of the axe hitting an enemy and his head snapping back, and possibly off. I've been clamoring for dismemberment since I heard about Skyrim and that looked like it might be the closest thing to it. It is very difficult to tell what exactly happens to the enemy's head in that video but nonetheless its better than what happened in Oblivion. What are some of your favorite things in the video? Also, do you think that the fighting of dragons will actually be like it is depicted in the video or do you think Bethesda did that for cinematic purposes? In other words do you think we'll actually slash dragons in the face and cause their heads to snap back? At the same time, I wonder what it will be like if we are archers. How do they fight dragons?

Definitely one of the biggest improvements in combat is the actual impact of weapons. Before, NPCs would just stagger or recoil exactly the same, regardless of the weapon and attack. Now, it's clear these powerful reactions were probably do to the various power attacks in the game.

As far as the dragon fight is concerned, I think they will be exactly as was depicted in the trailer. I think each swing the Dovahkiin dealt was a power attack, which is why the dragon recoiled so immensely from the impact. As far as how assassins and rangers will be able to fight dragons effectively, we'll have to wait and see.

EVERYTHING!

Of the new stuff from the trailer specifically, I would say a tie between the dragon shouts, dragon animations/fights, and the first person running with the voice effects and the bouncing screen.

I really loved the Dragon shout, the music, and the narrative.
