The fact it is Fallout? I don't know. I don't sit here and demand anything be brought back, as long as it feels Fallout, I don't care.

Edit- Bravo Mad, you've just earned this thread a high chance of being locked.

Hrm I would say a mixture of various things from the factional bits to mixed ammo types to being able to add modifications to guns.

With regards to Maddudeguy's pre-edited comment, that subject is a very touchy one and is frowned upon by the Moderators.

Wanamingos are extinct now.

Thought to be extinct, big difference. From The Vault Wiki:

"The only known queen lived in the Wanamingo Mine in Redding, owned by Ascorti. All "aliens" living in that mine were killed by the Chosen One in 2242. Some other wanamingos/aliens could be found in the desert, and in the San Francisco tanker."

http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Wanamingo

So there were other wanamingos wandering around outside of Redding, ergo there could be another escaped queen out there in the wastes somewhere [around Vegas ;)].

The fact that you could actually kill people with stimpacks, LOL
Creating a stealth based secret agent type character was possable and playable.
You could set booby traps that really worked. (not just dropping down a few mines here and there.)

1- impaired speech for low intelligence characters
2- wanamingos
3- at least 1 reference to the talking deathclaws. (preferably meeting an elderly gorris)

Highly more stat/skill relying gameplay. (skills and stats being more necessary than mere buffs)
Challenge and the lack of nosepulling. (no questcompass, no cuddling the player)
Genral quality of writing. (consistent setting, believable and interesting characters and quests)
The atmosphere. (genuine feel of roaming a destroyed world slowly being rebuilt that is presented in the scenery, soundtrack and most importantly the locations and people in it)
Choises&consequences. (my actions matter and I can not take them back)

I love the caravans. Merchants with interesting personalities, who often appear when I least expect it, and whose guards have saved my life a few times. I think they'll be especially useful while in hardcoe mode, when my inventory is so limited. Hopefully they'll be well-developed in New Vegas, with some updated dialogue along the way. Would love for them to inform me on recent news as the storyline progresses.

The setting, the 50s charm, the wry humour. And the gender choice so that it's not just a male trying to survive in the wastelands, but a female choice as well depending on the player's choice. Other games that have trid to emulate Fallout have only ever done a male lead only - Metro 2033 is one example.
