Today while doing the quest where you plant the device to study the mirelurks in the lincoln memorial, i just planted the device and was trying to find my way out and i wound up in the lower tunnels and just opened a door and two mirelurks snuck up behind me and attacked me scaring the heck out of me and killing my female avatar .

I was in the Museum of History, I was searching for a picture of the Washington Monuement. I finally found the poster and I turned around and right in my face was a Feral Ghoul! I paniced and quick pulled out my Lincoln Repeater and blew his head right off!

The Dunwich place is pretty creepy..also anytime a centaur gets too close to you lol

Think it happened last night... I was out in the west up on this hill... just looking through the scope, checking out what was ahead of me. I heard a noise and turn around to see a giant mutant standing right over me. Just about s**t myself. I was so shocked, I just stood there and let him club me to death.

Was fighting the queen ant when she glitched and got stuck in a wall, I was like 'wtf' and then I turn around and she falls on top of me xD almost had a heart attack lol

There are so many lol, from groups of deathclaws, mirelurk hunter ambushes, feral ghouls, you name it

When I was going through the museum of technology I think for the first time I was just walking around and all of a sudden a super mutant overlord comes out of nowhere and scares the crap out of me. Another first time experience for me was my first Mirelurk experience. A combat shotgun didn't work so I ran away and lost all my ammo.

A feral ghoul coming up behind me in a sewer. It's happened to me a couple of times at least.

Walked into the fort constantine outside office type building and fawkes was dead with his head stuck through the roof (glitch)

The very first time I ever played the game... I left the vault thinking I was a tuff cookie and almost immediately got mauled by a pack of feral dogs. I tried to run but was not successful. Not to long after I met a super mutant I could not best... I almost quit the game for good then. But I finally got the feel for the game and have come to have many a scares since.
I must admit most of them are in the Anchorage mirelurk lair. Sneaking through with stealthboys is never enough to avoid detection and once they see me I always get lost trying to run out! Then I discovered the rear sewer entrance and things were good =)

When walking to tenpenny tower stoping to look at a ruin and turn around to yogi right in my face scared the .,?! Out of me and the music never changed to tell me I was in danger.
