Now I love Talon Company but they are to small to defeat the Legion. The NCR is like the largest faction in Fallout and they can't even get rid of the Legion.

Agreed, their main HQ is a small Fort in the Capital Wasteland. They're struggling so hard to control the DC area, and chances of them doing that are slim, considering the CW BoS are better trained and equipped, and with the guardian role they've assumed, are better liked with the general populace. So, a group struggling to control one city versus a massive regime that brought down four states in some 30 years? I think the answer is quite clear. Oh, and Chinese Assault Rifles and Laser Rifles can hardly compare to AMRs, Brush Guns, and Ranger Sequoias, so the TC are in fact, NOT better equipped than NCR Rangers.

*Sigh* I wish people would read. The NCR Ranger is equipped with a .357 Revolver or a Cowboy Repeater and poor, plastic-looking armor. Vet Rangers carry the good gear, i was referring to the NPC NCR Ranger.
As to your attacks on TC, they are fighting a war against the Super Mutants that even the BoS are losing, and dont bring FO3s crappy mechanics up, as the BoS are almost as bad off as the TC comparatively.

Well, ranger vets are also rangers, so that part was open for interpretation. Now that you've specified it, I know what you mean and won't address it further.
Also, I'm not bringing in mechanics at all. By LORE, BoS are supposed to be the best trained soldiers (with the exception of the Enclave) in the wastes, with the equipment to match. With regards to game mechanics: if DT had been in the game and it should have been, you'd have seen for yourself how good Combat Shotguns, Chinese Assault Rifles, and Laser Rifles would have been against Power Armor.
Now that you've further clarified your post by adding that the TC would win in a small skirmish, I'll have to again respectfully disagree. They may be able to defeat standard recruits, but against a team Decani (?) or Centurions, they'd lose lore-wise or gameplay-wise.

Possibly but Rangers arent a walk in the park either there trained and there "plastic armor" has 15 DT not that bad. Plus the have very good training. They arnt called the Elite group of the NCR for nothing. Also they carry Hunting rifles, Assualt Carbines, .357 magnum revolvers, and cowboy repeaters. Im not talking about those other rangers that wear that crappy Ranger scarf crap that has 0 DT.

For the love of-- I didn't know that when some says "Deathclaw vs Cazador", they mean "All Deathclaws vs All Cazadores". Because that is what you guys are doing, i say i'd like to see a battle between Legionaries and TC, you suddenly jump to the conclusion that mean an entire full-fledged war.

I never brought up BoS vs TC, but you bring up the weakness of Power Armor, while Combat Armor, while better in NV, should still be drastically more powerful than it is, 15 DT? Are you serious, it was the second best armor type in the old games.

Exactly, i mean like Josh here, i say I'd like to see Legionaries square up with TC, on even terms or perhaps with a slight Legion numerical advantage. But not the entire Legion army, [censored].

OK, and I'm saying a group of Centurions or Decani (is this the plural for Decanus?) would wipe out a team of Talon Company mercs. In terms of equipment: Centurions have AMR, Marksman Carbines, Thermic Lances, Super Sledges, while Talon Company has Chinese Assault Rifles, Combat Shotguns, and Laser Rifles. In terms of lore: Centurions are the best of the best in the Legion. They have years of combat experience, and to have survived so long with the rather shabby equipment one has as a recruit has should be enough evidence of how resourceful and skilled they are. We know next to nothing lore wise how TC mercs are selected, so I can't really comment here. Either way, it's pretty clear to me at least that the Centurions would defeat TC mercs.

So, the best of the Legion versus basic mercenaries, that's fair. And we do know something about TC recruits, they are from what may be the harshest land in America, the Capital Wasteland, and fight a war that the BoS are also losing, anyone surviving is most likely worth their mettle, and their in-game stats point to them being very proficient with firearms and other weapons, not to mention the tier of their basic equipment, Combat Armor and military-grade assault weaponry.

Yeah, but Decanus are officers, not infantryman, what would be fair is Prime Legionaries led by a Vet Legionary against a squad of Talon Company Mercs.

For the last time, i am not referring to matters of military force in entirety, i am speaking STRICTLY of skirmishes and battles, against similarly ranked or tiered opponents.

@Ace, Actually, Decani are usually just equipped with .44s or 10mms, and dont put up very good fights, as i said they are officers in charge, in combat, while they are strong, it would mostly be Primes and Vets doing direct combat.
