what weapon/body type/class combination are you going

Post » Fri Mar 12, 2010 5:21 am

What saddens me about the minigun is that it's basically an SMG with more ammo, stat wise.

On Topic: Light Soldier with the most accurate SMG and a pistol.

I meant a heavy op who sneaks into the base.

Well it you could do that but it wouldn't work 2 well with my indirect fire idea.

That weapon data is all subject to change.

Ah, thanks. Now I can sleep peacefully at night knowing I won't be using a gigantic SMG

I don't see what's wrong with that. It would be downright broken if they had huge ammo capacities, fast firing rates, and killed in just a handful of bullets. I don't want the heavy weapons being weak either; I just want them balanced.

Also, I think my second character will be a Light Soldier with an SMG and a machine pistol. Grenade hail, followed closely by a shower of bullets.

I'm thinking Light or Medium Medic.

High mobility for support where needed. Not sure of wepon loadouts, will have to play test a few to see what's comfortable.

Medium Engineer with an assault rifle and short rifle. All I can say before hand is to watch your step.

if operatives can see other operative even when they are disguised (i think i read that somewhere, correct if wrong) then a heavy operative could be the anti-operative, stop backstabbing before it begins, and with all the light operatives, they should go down easy

I'm either gonna be a medium/light operative or a soldier.
Never was really into the medic/engineer business, but i'll probably try 'em out too, and the heavy body type of everything.

Medium engineer, specced evenly between turrets and mines (granted that's practical, if not, I'll just have to see which one I prefer), with a shotgun modded for increased damage and fire rate for close quarters combat, and an SMG modded for accuracy.

My main purpose will be to creep behind enemy lines, find a decent hiding spot near their reinforcement lanes, set up my turret and plant mines where the enemy usually treads. Then, I'll slaughter as many people as I possibly can, and hold the survivors' attention for as long as I can, that way my team's front-line forces will gain the upper hand and be able to make large advances into enemy territory.

Of course, this is all speculative. For all I know, splitting skill points between turrets and mines really will be impractical, and I'll have to choose between them. Or maybe I'll be bad at sneaking. Or maybe I just won't enjoy this role, and I'll end up being a heavy soldier with a bullet-hose minigun and a shotgun sidearm who's specced for running directly into a hail of enemy gunfire and berserking 'till death. Only time will tell.

Maybe a Medium Engy so i can still use SMART (for good placement of turrets) but also be able to fight when able to, i also want a heavy character so probably a Heavy Soldier or Medic

Well, I want to maximize my use of Smart, so I'll definitely be using Light.

Of course I also want to play with the big guns... so I'll have a couple Heavies...

and then I will also want to do some shotgun work with Smart, so Medium will be required.

For classes I love tactical defense set ups... so Engineer will be a must for me... first choice when defending for sure.

Infinite ammo and super grenades sounds fun, so I'll take a roll at assault.....

Self rez, easy points, and keeping a team up is priceless... so I will need to use medic sometimes...

and of course, Spy vs Spy is a game unto it's own, so I will also be lovin me som Op Work

I guess I'll prolly play some kind of combination involving everything above :D

Probably go with light soldier/SMG/pistol. I'm definitely a run and gun player.
Shame about dual wield pistols; I read that it wasn't implemented. Then again you'd probably want at least one hand free when ducking under or jumping over obstacles.

I will adapt to whatever comes my way, it is never a good idea to say this is what I'm using THAT'S IT.... i would focus on what you like to do, personally i like being a sneaky little bastard, getting in close, and shoving a shotgun up their @$$.

ill defenitly be using a medic but im still trying to decide what weight im gonna be. ill have to figure out where wich weight classes can go to heal other people. because if your on a entire team of lightys than i may aswell be a heavy medic acting as a beacon and vice versa if everyone else was a heavy i would go light assuming i wouldnt take as much gunfire as heavys if i move around the back.

Its hard to say what i will ultimately choose before I actually get a feel for the game, but my gut choice was a Light Operative, short rifle and the most powerful per shot pistol i can find, along with lots of backstabs

Then after a bit of research, im thinking that a Heavy Medic would be quite fun, running in to revive people in the heat of battle while laying down suppressive fire with a Gatling, and a shotgun as my backup weapon

But I'd also like to try a traditional Medium Soldier, so i can carry an assault rifle, but still be able to move around with the SMART system, I'd probably have a short rifle as my secondary for making longer shots.
