What weapon to give Sulik?

Post » Wed Aug 18, 2010 6:57 am

Well a couple years ago I used the mod that changed the appearance of all party members to what they were actually wearing... and it allowed me to give Sulik a gauss rifle.
However now I am using the wonderful Restoration Project expansion and I can only give Sulik his normal guns, like large pistols or SMG.
I dislike having my party members rushing the enemy, I would rather have them use ranged weapons and all stand still so I can use burst weapons on the enemy, which makes sense considering that I make sure no one else in my party uses burst/area effect weapons, so my player character wields the big guns, like the miniguns, rocket launchers, ect. and it works wonders, but all I have Sulik with is a .223 pistol.
Is there a better option? I don't give him SMGs because he will always use burst, even if you set his distance at "on our own" in which case, they typically stay where they are unless they have to pursue someone.

Sulik really is designed for Melee.... But you might want to try spears or other "primative" weapons.

Nevermind you are right.. (sigh) Sulik is FIRED. My science skill is nearing 150 percent, Brain Bot to the rescue.

No getting around it, Sulik was meant for the Sledgehammer. Giving him automatic weapons is just a bad idea, as you probably have experienced. Vic and (especially) Cassidy are your guys for gunplay. BrainBot always seems so fragile, and Marvin is a poor shot AND can't take a hit.

I gave him a .223 pistol......and he died. He was getting on my nerves with his grampy bone.

I always like my team to have different skills that make my team more versatile. Sulik is perfect when he's running through waves of enemies throwing them on the ground and making them fly in all directions with his Big Hammer. When I play a melee character as well, I usually have Cassidy and Vic killing things from a distance, Sulik beating everyone to the ground and in all directions, while I punch them in the eyes when Sulik throws them my way or when they're almost dead or still on the ground.

Keep him just long enough to solve the jet quest... Then slave him at VC.

I would just keep using the B-Team mod. Anyone in Power armor should be able to use Gauss weapons.

that or give him a modded mega power fist. 38-60 damage FTW.

I stuck him with a P90 with orders to charge the enemy if Iwanted him to do bursting, or a .223 pistol if I wanted him to stand ground and shoot. I don't think I even tried giving him gauss weapons as I usually reserved those to Vic and Casidy and myself. However I think he can only use the "big pistol model" weapons so that is out.

Myron is a great laugh IMO. I give him a needler when I have him along which seems to be OK for him.

Sulik does pretty well with a Super Sledge. I gave him one I got off Renesco, but not sure where you can find one elsewhere.
