Yeah. By using bows you should be able to 1 or 2 hit kill.
Arrows should be harder to find or buy.

I'll go for an awesomely bad-ass dual magic and hand to hand. Dual wield your swords all you want, they are no match for my fists and power.

That actually makes you wonder what happens if you try to duel-wield shields, it's something I'll need to experiment with...

But anyway, I'm hoping my answer can be a spear. If not, my first character will probably either use bows with some sort of melee weapon to fall back to if enemies get too close, or magic and maybe a melee weapon as backup, it really depends on what kind of character I feel like making at the time, but hopefully, I'll get around to giving all major weapon categories a try.

Spears, if in.
Otherwise either a staff, if melee-usable, or a one handed sword, or a hammer (something like a lucerne hammer or bec de corbin, at most a long-axe, but not a maul or double headed axe) possibly with shield in some situations, although if a spear-mod comes around I'll be the first one to download it

Although I doubt there'd be one any time soon, given the complexity of animations that I forsee.

Depends on how the game's balanced, and how easy it is to mix and match skills, e.g. melee and magic. Most likely either a long blade an shield (score one for originality), or blade of some sort and destruction spell.

The Sword will be my weapon of choice, either the Umbra Blade (If its in the Game) or an Enchanted Akaviri Katana.
