Yea.

The MW2 weapons are a terrible representation of the Real Versions.

Hell, they don't even sound like them; and not to mention they're all Air Soft guns.

They all make that horrible PEW PEW sound effect. FFS a gun goes BANG. The bigger the bullet (or the shorter the barrel) the bigger the bang. If they're going to call that game 'realistic' they did a half-assed job.

well not exactly i just know that it seems unethical to put a silencer on a shotgun. i do know a good amount about guns and i do like guns they are interesting about them and there history

Suppressors (if you were that knowledgeable you'd know that's the correct way to say it) change the gas eruption after a shot is fired. Average shotgun shells do not actually spread for a fairly great distance. Suppressors do work. I don't know how you can just not look at hard evidence, but whatever. Not to rain on your parade, good sir, but they do exist, their practicality is just slightly under par. That doesn't change their existence.

As far as some of the things you've said in this topic, you're very unknowledgeable about firearms. Don't pretend you're better than everyone else.

yess... i fired a gun. If you go into 3rd person it has reciol but in first it doesnt look like much at all espically the hunting shotgun should have some reciol

The AA-12 shotgun would be too over powered in Fallout, with accurate range of about 200 meters and almost none recoil in the real version of the gun, combined with explosive rounds... No thank you. And just because someone mentioned the AA-12 shotgun doesn't mean this thread has gone to MW2:ishness, but I have mnot seen any suggestions of the latest few posts either..

I'd like a sword that actually strikes like a sword.

The Bumper Sword (not really a sword but whatever) in NV and the Chinese Officer's Sword and Samurai Sword in FO3 always felt more like baseball bats in the shape of a sword.

.22 LR Rifle. In-between the BB Gun and Varmint Rifle in regards to power. Could be semi-automatic, so you can bang off several rounds quickly. Light ammo.

25mm rifle. Think XM25 (just without the gizmo doodads). Another weapon for explosive users, and it adds another weapon that uses 25mm [that is markedly different to the Grenade Machinegun].

M2 .50 BMG. Strength requirement of 10 to wield (can't use it otherwise). Adds another weapon that uses .50 BMG.

Katana (add a unique one too).

Deployable bear traps.

yes that sounds like a decent list espically with the M2 .50 BMG that would be fun. The bear traps would be cool to have dont know why the didnt add them in

They could make the shotgun from fallout 3 full auto and put it in this game that would be beast.
totally agree on the weapon mods, we need more of them like a suppressor for the assault carbine.
and a 9mm smg that looks like the PPS called the chineese smg.

Or they could take that gun from FO3 and actually make it an SMG like the PPSH 41 submachinegun that its design is stolen from.

yes but what calliber would it use .22LR 9MM 10MM 12.7MM?

Well since it would have to be chambered for one of the generic forms of ammunition I'd say chamber it for 9mm.
