What to wear for the silent assassin.

Post » Sun Jun 24, 2012 11:29 pm

So new character, exclusively uses guns with silencers.

What do people think is the best look to go for, I could go for the chinese stealth suit with the riot helm and 1st recon beret, but it just looks too out of place.

I want a look that doesn't draw to much attention, but also fits the play style of the silent assassin.

Edit: I'd also prefer to wear light armor, I do like the look of the riot gear but it weakens sneak.

Not bad, it means I have to venture into the sierra madre early on though.

Which is especially difficult for this character, no silenced weapons in DM.

I'll have to disagree with you guys.

Ulysees Duster. +5 Critical, then get the +5 Critical from the "light touch" perk.

Boones Beret you get another +5 Critical Chance.

Lucky Shades +1% to your critical chance,
Also if you use VATS for every Assassination, there is another 5%

Edit: Also look at Grahams armor, you can get it fairly early on, it's pretty beefy for light Armor, and will give you +3% critical chance

This is what I usually wear for my crit characters, I usually wear the elite riot helm and 1st recon beret instead of the lucky shades.

I'm thinking this character will be more about 'fitting in' with society, I might have to look at some of the weaker DT armors.

The Chinese stealth suit, something about that suit looks just awesome.
But you look ridiculous, not much of an assassin if everyone notices you straight away. Imagine sitting in a bar wearing that, everyone would instantly notice you.

You'd be quite noticeable in a ninja-suit, too.

I just hate how many times the Helmet gets proken, and it requires someone to fix it, or Metal Armor. It's a pain in the ass to bring along with you if your working alone, 30lbs for a what? 6lb helmet.

I'm not looking to be the ultimate preceptive player, just quick when you have all the "Sneak speed" built up your Charecter flys, and having it completely silent speeds all you need to watch out for is them turning around.

You could try using leather armor. It's dark enough to be an assassin in the night. Or use plain clothes light armor. You know, to blend in. Also, assassins are versatile with their weapons. So using knives is an option if you still want to RP in the Sierra Madre.

Stealth Suit Mk II http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GGxw5_tAoPc

Oh wait, you said silent assassin.

Then the Assassin Suit is a good choice. It looks good, gives a bonus to +10 bonus to sneak and it is light armor.

If you want LIGHT Armor, the Assassin Suit is the way to go.

Orrrr, you could go for the Stealth Suit Mk II. It's Medium Armor though and almost impossible to repair if you're locked into a DLC like OWB, HH or DM. Especially DM. I noticed in LR there was plenty of Medium Armor to repair it with. Way to go Devs.

If ur wanting specs go with assassin suit. If ur wanting looks then id say wear grunt outfit and maybe the beret or a fedora out in the desert to blend in to the dirt and whatnot aroumd you and when ur in town change into reg street clothes. Granted those suggestions are more for a rp playthru as in street clothes u blend in to tne crowd when ur escaping and the grunt blend into the surroundings out in the deserf, both all the while not looking outta place to gather attention.
