What to do while waiting for Fallout 4

Post » Tue Dec 01, 2015 10:17 pm

As of the time of this posting there are 85 days and 8 hours until Fallout 4 comes out. I looked into hibernation and time machines but neither of those worked (I got a nasty shock to the nuts from the time machine). The only thing I have to look forward to between now and the release is Oktoberfest, since SW Battlefront and Episode 7 come out in December.

What are other people planning on doing while we wait for Fallout 4?

Watch TV and play games, as always I guess. I'm just about to finally upgrade to current gen so I have a LOT of games to attempt to tackle before Fallout 4 has been out for a few months (I'll be waiting for a few patches as well as, hopefully, tweaks to the dialog system being patched in before touching Fallout 4).

A)buy a next gen console.
B)play witcher 3

So I got summit to get on with at least.

Aug 25th- Dishonored Definitive Edition PS4
With upgraded graphics and all DLC included, I don't mind buying it again considering the first time I only paid $5 for it on Xbox live last year and I didn't buy any of the DLC.

Other diversions
Collecting PC components (as funds allow)
Read books
Watch films
Rehandle a knife

That reminds me, I have to try the two Elder Scrolls novels out there at some point, as well as pick up the recently released collection of in-game texts from Skyrim.

I also need to buy some knives, been thinking of picking up a leatherneck and a gladius machete.

I read the first TES novel. I didn't really care for it, but give it a try, it may be for you. I always advocate buying blades :D

I don't have high expectations, hehe. But it's Elder Scrolls lore, so I must consume it!

Unfortunately with the TES novels it seemed like it was intended to be a trilogy but they only wrote two books, it felt like nothing had been resolved at the end of the second book. Of course I might be wrong been awhile since I read them

I read the first one, as I mentioned, and maybe it was the writing but I just couldn't really get into it. I guess I prefer my Elderscrolls in the video game medium lol

Did you pick up the collection of in-game texts? I'm much more excited for that, personally.

No, it's a physical book of all the in-game books from Skyrim, I believe. Or books, I suppose, I believe only the first one has been released so far.

Ooooh ok! Lol, I was thinking it was an in-game edition of the novels for Skyrim, but yeah I might look into the collection of in-game books. If nothing else, it'll make for a good coffee table book!

Apparently it has artwork of races, figures etc. and drawn (I assume) maps inside as well.

I'm just ecstatic to have them all in the one place so I can slowly make my way through every one. Don't get me wrong, I love having in-game books and I don't think that should ever change, but sometimes attempting to keep track of what ones you've read can be a nightmare.

Ooh that does sound good! Maybe they will release a concept art book for Fallout 4?
